There will be a maximum of 20 bands in prelims and 10 bands in finals. Seeing North Crowley beating Fossil Ridge at Area this past season prompted me to give them a win, but then again some results are completely disagreed with. Fortunately, my band program has never had to worry about that. I know in 2022, Burleson Centennial straight up opted out of area, due to the dance being that same night.
