  1. So, the Leander Festival of Bands is one of my favorite shows of the year. Not a contest but this is a great thing. The students are loose and the crowd is generally even more supportive than at most contests. Here's links to each band's performance in order of performance (I may have swapped Tom Glenn and Leander) from 10/2/2023 Vista Ridge Rangers Hornrank #12: Rouse Raiders Hornrank #6 Cedar Park Timberwolves Hornrank #15 Tom Glenn Grizzlies: Leander Lions Hornrank #31 Vandegrift Vipers Hornrank #6 Now, I don't watch the video as I am videoing so if something goes out of screen I apologize. I'd just rather watch the show than watch the show through a screen when I am in the stadium.
  2. Here is another reason I love Band so much and am very proud of the Vista Ridge organization this holiday season! Earlier this year at BOA West Texas the Vista Ridge band performed after the Estacado Band, the Estacado band is around 30 to 50 members, Vista Ridge (Students, Parents, directors, boosters) were so inspired by the passion for music that Estacado demonstrated that they had to do something for them. Please see the attach news link for what was done. Great story for this Christmas season! https://www.everythinglubbock.com/video/austin-area-hs-donates-over-5000-to-the-estacado-band/4175266/
  3. The 2019 Vista Ridge Marching Festival is on 10/5/2019. Registration opens 2/18, here is the link to the Festival site: http://www.vrhsband.org/marchingfestival/ JOHN GUPTON STADIUM 200 S. VISTA RIDGE BLVD. CEDAR PARK, TEXAS 78613 Would like to see who's planning on attending this year! Interesting Fact: Both the current 5A (Cedar Park) and 6A (Vista Ridge) UIL State Marching Champions share Gupton Stadium as their Home Stadium. Not sure if anyone knows if the top two classification reigning State Champions have ever been from the same City and shared the same stadium? Is this a first?
