yeah but those reeds last like close to a year depending on the player ....as for plastic reeds..i wouldnt use them in a concert setting...only marching

so yeah as a woodwind..i cant march core unless i do a brass instrument.. and from what ive heard its not hard to learn a euphonium...is that true?.. and is all the euphonium music in bass clef ..or reble and bass?...i read treble..i can read bass..but just not as good as treble

although i am a wood wind...at a leadership.."meeting" (a saturday) i learned how to toss a flag...(one spin and catch) didnt seem that hard after u got the concept... oh yeah...we got a pretty BIG band hall..so we were tossing flasgs from one side to the other... ^.....i can spin a rifle arond my wrist but cant throw one and catch it...lol...

^well they sell specially reeds like that..and flavored reeds (<WTF) yeah H&H (brook mays...ill check there) but for normal playing of instrument..plastic isnt good..from what i assume/hear ..no v12's for bass....only blue boxes.... i play 3 vandoreen ...heres a cool trick that i learned this year...if a reed is hard...push (while its on the mouthpiece) push at the heart of the reed...like kinda really hard....(while its on your horn too... and yeah it softens the reed a little..but dont do this to often to a single reed as it may cause it to just go too soft how much was the plastic reed u bought?...how many did u get? i feel sorry for bari sax..there reeds are 24 dollars for a box of 5 (for u none reed players... box of 5 bass is 15 and box of 10 for clar. is 20) ...(also i used bari sax reeds on the contra...(same as tenor and bass clar..) real contra reeds...taht u see at h&h are for the Bb contras..plus there $40 dollors for a box of 5 OMG

...meh..i bet if i contacted one of my friends that was in phantom i would be able to get something.....now i just need to remember his aim sn...

so yeah...plastic reeds.. i was thinking of gettins some for marching..cause i here ther enear impossible to chip...last a year or so each...and mainly..they dont dry out but they are like 15 dollars a reed... anyone else know anything about these..or where to get them... i know they sell them at marching competitions like boa ....but other than that...i dont know

marching band is a health hazard... ..heatstrokes....just today we had 4 or so ppl go in.......but water breaks..have always been mandatory......we get water ever 30 minutes or so... ...but other things can be health hazards too.. last year at a football game...a tenor drummer clipped his heels..fell over backwards..and (if u dont know tenor drums fold up.) the drum folded up...and hit him in the mouth..cutting his lip..(to the point of stitches) and breaking his 2 front teeth...at that same football game....a trombone player...was hit in the temple by a stray color gaurd flag...he pretty much went onconcious right when he stepped off the field... ^both of them performed the rest of the show and ...yeah..but didnt stay the rest of the football game... ...we have started this new policy that works..but sucks.... PUSH UPS>.. whenever the director on the tower sees 1 person talking or just goofing off or something...the band goes down for 5 push ups...and the next time someone doest something its 10..and so on..and so on... we are up to 30 or something.. ok your thinking 30 isnt so bad...right..but it is..when u just got done doing 25...and 20 before that....

wheres your location?..and how can it affect your performance? as for the other drum major..set him/her straight....make sure they know all the rules.... an incentive to not talking is not doing extra jumping jacks or crunchs in our band.........and seems to work...... (we do jumping jacks and crunchs every day after stretches) ...take the band for a run around the field...i remember one day that everyone was just talking..(and this was on the way to a pep rally)....so the dms said everyones running 3 laps....as a group...as in no one can pass up the drum majors.. its been quiet (mostly) ever since.... and get director back up..in the sense of...when u tell the band to do something and they dont..make sure the band director is backing u up...like by saying something as simply as...if u cant follow instructions...may someone who can ..can take your marching spot

" we are gonna work on band olympics during the leadership meeting".. ^...since it was like olympics...we got white flags from the color gaurd to decorate with our "section country team" (Master Bassers) lol....our qoute "feed the ducks" (if u know what that means).lol.....but yeah on to the main subject...i was taught how to toss a flag in the air and catch by the colorgaurd chick......**** i dont see whats so hard there......(no offense...im relating this more to my band)

things your band directors say that dont always happen or things that just happen to be lies.... keep adding on when u think of some... -this is the last time and we will have a water break -this is the last time for the night -we will let u out on time _are we getting show shirts?... -yes we are getting show shirts - (at leadership camp..driving back to school) you will get in trouble if u speed (darn WE GOT A TICKET AND I WASNT EVEN DRVING >>darn RACIST COP...he looks at me..(i look white...but im not) and then looks at my two black freinds (one was driving) and asks them if they have warrents) -your trip account (amt. payed for trips) is lower this year (they charged us for everything else) ..cant think of anymore..
