LCM is 1st, Friendswood is 13th, and Dickinson is 16th. At least thats what we were told yesterday.

Do you mean if the freshman is affecting rehersal, or if the older brothers over-protectivness is affecting rehersal?

I have a freshman whos older brother is a senior this year. Any time anything is said to the freshman, he complains to his older brother that people are picking on him. This freshman doesnt really try, and I informed him yesterday that if he doesnt start to improve, that he will get disciplined. I am getting pretty annoyed with him. I think he might be ADD or ADHD, I dont know the difference, but he never focuses. And once I do discipline him, I know I will have the older brother after me. Do I discipline anyway, or go to a director or drum major?

I see no point in them. I dont think I will ever have the need to spit out dates from wars in other countries. A Current Event class would be more useful. Why am I still awake!!!??? I have to be at school tomorow at 6 for a listening, and then I have to take one of the TAKS test. Tomorow is going to be a loooonnnnnngggggg day.

I marched for about 2 weeks in 2005 with the Blue Stars, but I had 2 asthma attacks, and my mom made me fly home. This year, I plan to try out for the Blue Coats. One of my bands instructors is a brass tech for them. Have you ever had lemon grass tea?

I didnt really like my directors until this year. But now that I am seeing eye to eye with them, they are the best people I have ever met. I have finally found that there is a method to their madness. Do you plan to pursue music after school?

I had to celebrate mole day last year in chemistry. This year all of the classes made posters. I forgot what it was about/for though. What would you do if your band director suddenly quit?

What pieces of music do you listen to when your listening to music. Orchestral things, not rock and other things like that. Some of my favorite pieces are Appalachian Spring, Copland. Roman Trilogy, Ottorino Respighi. I also like to listen to drum corps shows. One of my favorites- 2003 Phantom Regiment. Once again, Just Curious.

I try to be a band nerd. lol. There is maybe one person in our band that is a bigger band nerd than I am.

We dont ever dance. We have other visuals. But they are sparse. We have a visual kind of similar to Star of indiana 1991, their begining is close to the first part of our second movement. We do a visual on the first part of the trumpet ensemble. Last year, our director wanted alot of horn snaps. We had like 25 in the trumpet section. It was fun. I almost busted my lips a few times. (heres my random post for the day, I should be sleeping, but once again, I am procrastinating.)

I'll hopefully be able to get recordings of the 3 advancing bands to state from Area F. That is if I can get my exchange student to record them. I better be nice to him!
