  4. Yeah he was really cool, here's me and him: and I didn't meet Jason Mraz, I just went to his concert, I wish I could have thoughhhh! Here he is performing: TTR: The Ting Tings. i love their beats.
  5. I was at that show at Stubbs where Jason Mraz played, lemme just say it was AMAZING. He's amazing. and I met Bobby Bones and got a picture with him that night. Austin area people would know him, he has his own morning show on 96.7. anyway, back to topic: TTR: snow in december ! it snowed here last night, and it usually doesn't do that until february. that means we are going to definitely have snow/ice days when jan/feb comes around
  6. Haha, I liked how Meredith Vieira called them a Drum and Bugle Corps And they were also called the James Bowie Outdoor Performing Ensemble, not marching band?

  9. I never saw the Bowie Band in the parade, but I must have just not been looking at the TV the exact time they were on screen, or missed them by like, 5 minutes. Did anyone see them?
  10. Haha, that's EXACTLY what I think every year, ergo my mom and all the other aunts go shopping while everyone else sleeps away the pounds and pounds of turkey we eat.
  11. Thanksgiving is almost here. What is everybody most looking forward to? (especially food !) For me, it would be the massive amounts of stuffing and mashed potatoes I'm going to get. They are my favorite foods, therefore I always look forward to this wonderful wonderful day Also, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is always a joy to watch. What are yall excited for?
  12. 2005 G-town was my freshman year. I'm guessing the arranger is right, but the original composer was Nancy Galbraith.
  13. Haha, I should ! I'm modeling for their convention and I deserve some payment !
  14. AHH! That IS me!! Sophmore year me, but still me ! That is so B.A. I want a GN program now, just for that ad. Thanks for the photo, at least ! :] I guess they just used our Fred Sanford award winning year 2006 because they were like, man this girl is really good looking, let's use her picture to advertise for PASIC, even though they won 2 years ago. haha, I'm just playing ;]
  15. I can see where people could be offended. I think that some slack need to be given to these people though. Not every audience member is commenting on the musical selection, or watching if feet are in time, or commenting on double tonguing or whatever. Many are watching visuals and the overall show, aka parents, many band kids. When I saw the show at BOA SA, I was surprised at the visual content matter. I didn't particularly like it, and I thought that many WOULD feel uncomfortable, especially if they knew someone with a mental illness (for instance, I have a teacher who has a brother who is schizophrenic, and it hurts her feelings when people stereotype it as the whole padded wall business). I know it is art, but I think that it has to be realized that the show is being performed not only for judges and for people who look at the technical part of things, but for people that just watch it as a whole, people who aren't focus on marching band fundamentals. I understand the offense.
  16. Georgetown is not going anymore, due to our football team's playoff game at Kyle Field this Saturday. My senior year as well, but yes, good luck to all the drumlines that will be there.
  17. Yeah we beat yall 24-0 haha. We stood in front of yall while yall played. I was in my letterman jacket, because it was senior night. The band directors allowed the seniors to rush the field when the game was over. It was awesome to stand on the sidelines, counting down the seconds outloud, and then rushing the field and jumping around with the team and others when the clock ended.
  18. Our football team just playoffs for the first time since 1999 Our town is going crazy. We are 7-3. Our first playoff game is this coming saturday at Kyle Field. I'm excited, because its my senior year and its been so long since we last made playoffs. One sad thing is that we can't go to Lonestar Drumline Competition anymore, but that's what we get for being in Texas Football.
