  1. Yeah, the BOA centric show might allow Hebron to have a slight edge over them in a UIL setting, but obviously we’ll have to wait and see
  2. I seriously doubt Marcus will be losing the percussion caption anytime soon… however I do agree with this ranking for the most part. I do think this could be another really strong year for Flomo, especially with Grand Nats, but I think in UIL, Hebron will probably still take the win.
  3. I’ve heard that Katy is doing a Raven show, and is using a lot of the same repertoire as Tompkins’ 2023 show… Can anyone else confirm this?
  4. Any hints of show repertoire?
  5. My prediction (without knowing very much about most of the bands or their shows) 1.Pearland 2.Cy-Fair 3.CTJ 4.Cy Woods 5.Seven Lakes 6.Clear Brook 7.Dickinson 8.Foster 9. Stephen F. Austin 10.Dawson 11.Friendswood 12.Tompkins Bubble (In no particular order): Jordan, Shadow Creek, Clear Lake, Churchill, WBT (Tbh any of these groups could make finals, I’m just biased towards Tompkins)
  6. I feel like the top 5 Katy bands are pretty competitive. (Seven Lakes, Cinco Ranch, Tompkins, Taylor, Jordan) Also Seven Lakes, Tompkins, and Jordan are really competitive for Orchestra and academically. (Both the Tompkins and Jordan Symphony Orchestras went to the Midwest Clinic last year)
  7. I know, that’s why I gave Tompkins a bigger range. Cinco was really successful last year, but their places were practically swapped from 2023, so anything can happen. To be fair, I don’t know very much about Cinco’s show next year except for maybe Swan Lake so they could be just as successful as last year or surpassed by the likes of Tompkins, Jordan or JET. Top 5 as a whole is pretty interchangeable except for Seven Lakes I think, but once again anything can happen!
  8. My completely inaccurate prediction (Pls don’t flame me): 1. Bridgeland (1-2) 2. Cy-Woods (1-4) 3. Seven Lakes (1-4) 4. Cy-Fair (2-5) 5. Tompkins (3-7) 6. Cinco Ranch (4-7) 7. Jordan (5-8) 8. Taylor (6-8) Bubble groups: 9. Cy Ranch 10. Katy 11. Langham Creek 12. Jersey Village 13. Paetow
  9. My completely inaccurate prediction: 1. Seven Lakes (1-3) 2. Tompkins (2-5) 3. Cinco Ranch (2-4) 4. Jordan (2-5) 5. JET (2-5) 7. Cypress Ranch (4-7) 8. Katy (7-10) 9. Paetow (7-10) 10. Jersey Village (8-11) 11. Cy Springs (10-12) 12. Freemen (11-12) First of all, no shade to Jordan, their show for next year seems really interesting, I just don’t see them winning back to back (I could be horribly wrong and they sweep all the captions, who knows). Also I’m obviously biased towards Tompkins but regardless I still think my predictions are reasonable based on the little that I know about the other bands.
  10. Honestly, pretty valid. I think Seven lakes will have a strong start this year after getting dethroned last season though.
  11. Awesome I love seeing more Cy schools to see how they compare with Katy before Area!
  12. Anyone have any way too early predictions for KMF (Assuming that Cy Springs and Ranch are going)? I know it should be pretty similar to area but I want to see if anyone has any different predictions. Personally I think Tompkins or JET can break into top 3.
  13. Unfortunate that Katy isn’t going but wow, this competition is shaping up to be really competitive!
  14. Almost 6 years with no activity
  15. It seems to always be the second Saturday of October.
  16. According to the Tompkins band calendar, the competition will be Saturday, October 11!
  17. Sounds really interesting! Can't wait to see it.
  18. Has anyone seen or heard any sneak peaks of their band's show next year? Like either from their director presenting it or just hearing it from their office on accident. (I did today hehe
  19. Do you know the source music...? No offense but it won't be slow lol.
  20. I really like this prediction but I think Tompkins also has a shot at getting that 5th spot and I think Katy or Langham or even Paetow could also get that 10th spot. The way I see it top 4 should basically be locks though unless the looney tunes portal opens out of the field like someone said earlier (Or it rains again 🫤 )
  21. All I'm gonna say for now is yes, it should be very interesting, from the overall concept and repertoire that I've seen so far. Also, mark my words, this show might have the potential to surpass 2023's success. You'll just have to wait and see.
  22. I know there's obviously no way to tell right now but I just have a feeling that we're gonna see a huge comeback from the likes of Tompkins and Jordan next year. Cinco Ranch, too, after barely missing state. For example, Tompkins jumping from 9th in 2021 and 8th in 2022 to 3rd in 2023. Who do y'all expect to see jump up in the rankings next year? Any wildcards that I missed?
