  1. I feel dumb for asking, but who’s all in region 25? Also is there a way to find the region maps?
  2. My things is with Berkner, if they do move down to 5A and go to Area C I could see that making Berkner a contender to win Area C 5A, with it being a battle between them, NM, and maybe Poteet. Along with that, since Berkner was a 6A Area C finalist last year that would leave a gap for another band to sneak into 6A finals.
  3. Someone needs to get me off the internet 😂 Prosper: The Odyssey
  4. Possibly, depends on the impact those directors had on the bands success
  5. My Dark Horses have to be McKinney HS and also SLC. These two bands put up a fight last year and I’m ready for them to take the next step.
  6. Here’s what I’m thinking for the moment: 1-2: Coppell/Wakeland Obviously the two biggest bands here. Honestly anything could happen between these two. In my opinion I could see Coppell just barley sneaking away with it but it just depends on how GE packed their show is 3-5: Prosper/Braswell/SLC At the moment I see this mostly being a battle between Prosper and Braswell. These two were really battling it out at area J. Of course SLC is my Dark Horse riding into the season so I’m also high on them. 6-9: Wylie/KC/McKinney/McKinney North I think the biggest question is where Wylie and McKinney North will fall. These two are the ones with the head director changes (edit, sorry I forgot about KC) so it could really mean anything. Also I do have McKinney up here, they did only miss Finals last year by only two spots and I could see them doing well. 10-12: Forney/Burleson Centennial/Rockwall I think the biggest one to look out for out of these three would be Burleson Centennial. They could be anywhere on this spectrum and it could get wild. Also I do have Forney and Rockwall battling it out, of course Forney missed Bedford Finals by one last year and Rockwall shocked everyone at Finals. On the bubble: Burleson Centennial, Forney, Rockwall, McKinney North, Walnut Groove, Rick Reedy, Little Elm. Of course it’s a little early to be predicting these things but this is my mind set for the moment
  7. Kind off, in 2023 they had a show called “Deconstructed, a journey through the creative process” so it’s like FlowerMound, but also not really.
  8. Not to mention the Mesquite comp falls on this day which takes a good chunk of bands away from attending this comp.
  9. Don’t look at me! I find these things, not make them 😂
  10. The amount of director movement has been absolutely insane. The biggest bands it has impacted are Wax, Sachse, D-Ville, Pearce, and Berkner. 3-5 out of the ones I mentioned made state. This could lead to some interesting results.
  11. It’s really good to know they’re including the family’s in this matter. I feel like not including the families would put them in a even worse situation, so it’s good to know they’re doing the right thing.
  12. I feel like any school that aren’t these 5 should take advantage of this. So schools like Forney, Rockwall, and even Lake Highlands have a higher shot at placing higher
  13. This whole situation is just such a mess. It shouldn’t have come to this point in the first place. I’m wishing the best for DISD because they really need it.
  14. I feel like this Area has been hit hard by so many different factors. Theirs been some director movement, of course the D-Ville situation. Here’s ranges I see for bands after what all has just happened. Waxahachie: 1-4 Sachse: 2-4 Forney: 2-4 Rockwall: 2-4 JJ Pearce: 4-6 Berkner: 5-7 Lake H: 5-8 Richardson: 7-10 Rockwall Heath: 7-10 Royce City: 9-10 Feel free to comment about this. This is simply where I feel like these bands are going trend wise. If D-Ville is able to do this I’d also put them into the 2-4 range. Without them, I feel like that 10th spot could go to either Royce City, North Forney, Tyler Legacy, or North Garland.
  15. The defending champions are returning as JJ Pearce has been confirmed Per their band calendar
  16. I don’t think this will have any effect on the contest itself. It may just be less organized.
  17. Late night finds. Plano East: The Gem Within
  18. We got another one for 5A Azle: The Fire within
  19. Thanks everyone for the updates. My thoughts and prayers go out to DISD and their fine arts program.
  20. Is Duncanville losing their head director? I thought I saw something about Mark Teal getting reassigned by their fine arts director. If anyone has any information about please tell
  21. This one’s gonna be good. Vista Ridge: Perfect Imperfections
  22. I think the top three is gonna be a battle between Lone Star, McKinney, Rock Hill, and Argyle, but don't count out Walnut Grove. I got my hopes high for them next year.
