Frisco ISD has been really good for years at rezoning to avoid any of the schools moving up to 6A. Does anyone with inside information know if they made a miscalculation with Wakeland HS this year or was this intentional?

So Aledo, Cedar Park, Wakeland, Leander, and Rouse all moving up to 6A Celina moving 5A. Melissa HS missed 6A by 13 students…

Rouse, Aledo, and CP definitely look like they’re heading to 6A. Leander might be close. Wakeland looks like it will barely stay 5A. 5A SMBC will definitely look different next year.

Dumb would be maintaining existing school attendance zones and then exceeding structural capacity, fire codes, and optimal class sizes. 🙄

Argyle finished fourth at Area B and jumped Lone Star and Lebanon Trail? 🤷‍♂️

They’re rezoning the high schools. They’re not moving up.

MN isn’t leaving

Simply put, my kids had 6 Thursday night games this season and it’s just ridiculous. I understand stadium availability issues and living in a district with multiple high schools and playing teams from districts where there are multiple high schools is the main culprit, but having 60% of your games on Thursdays affects health, sleep, and academics. It also makes senior night and homecoming (both on Thursdays) lame. I’m sure UIL doesn’t care, but it is just dumb.

My understanding is that the district is changing attendance zones for the three schools and all should stay where they are in terms of 5a/6A

Actually this is false. For every finalist they said the school name first and then the town. The only exception is when they said McKinney, they said from the town first and then the school name. Have the recording so don’t try to suggest otherwise. Seemed unnecessary and sort of cruel to me.

If the rumors swirling in McKinney ISD right now are true, the district is going to reconfigure attendance zones to lower MN’s enrollment to keep it 5A and send more students to MBHS to MHS.

I understand why they do it logistically, but it’s a travesty that UIL limit areas to only four teams. This area could’ve sent six to state last year and they likely all would’ve finished in the top 12. Meanwhile, certain areas send same teams every year and they can’t make the top 20 let alone make finals.

I’ve seen both Wakeland and Lone Star now. I think LS is better at this point

Honest question, I don’t know the rules well, but can you use pre-recorded vocals (from a band member or non band member) during the show/once clock has started? I know the pre-show can, but I was just curious. Thanks in advance. This has been a fun finals!
