    also I heard rumors of Richardson getting 1st in percussion execution and 2nd in content last weekend. no clue where the full sheet is but that would make the 5th in music from the third judge make a ton of sense

    Berkner has been steadily dropping in enrollment for the last few years and theyre already close to the cutoff, I wouldn't be surprised if they drop to 5A

    Area C 6A should have a decision by the end of the day today, according to the Richardson band director already, they do already have a detailed new schedule for if it ends up being on Monday. including an indoor rehearsal in their indoor field on Saturday.

    If it is prelims only I doubt Pearce will do pretty well with their 9:30 am performance, and if finals does happen, that could definitely impact their run and if they even make finals, they definitely could, its just a matter on consistancy

    I really hope it does for the kids, I feel bad for the seniors who might not get to march at finals if we don't move it, I know it doesn't work well logistically, but honestly Monday is the best option for the performers themselves

    From what I'm seeing on the area C website, finals has a full band retreat this year, I was kind of disappointed we didn't last year, hopefully we actually get a finals, even if it runs late.

    richardson cannot afford another new screen after theirs melted at plano east and a band dad had to go buy one for their synth

    maybe richardson can get that big tarp out of storage and put it above the stadium

    woodwinds like to explode, also guard wouldn't have a fair chance (not to mention lightning being on the forecast)

    they aren't doing a Friday morning rehearsal since there's no rain, from what I've heard they're just doing a longer comp day rehearsal Saturday (or my guess Sunday all day if it gets rained out saturday) since they go super late anyway

    I'm still confused on why Richardson ISD is with Waxahachie instead of the Plano schools it makes no sense

    It'd be cool to finally be in an area with bands actually near RISD, they were once with Hebron back in the late 2010's if I remember right. But it also may cause them to lose a chance at state, depending on who else could end up there with them and LISD. I could also see depending on it we could see the other prosper and plano schools actually have a fair chance at state, seeing as Area J currently is kinda cramped with every finals school being good enough to make state in another area

    My personal prediction: 1: Wax (unless there is a repeat of last year and a random band comes out of nowhere) 2/3: Forney/Rockwall it's either way with these 2 4: Sasche most likely but honestly a hot take but i could see any risd school getting this depending how they do, also Heath is another dark horse ------- State Cutoff 5/6: Lake Highlands/heath 7-9: Duncanville/Richardson/Berkner honestly any of these but I'm guessing Duncanville in 8th 10: Pearce or North Forney, haven't seen north forney yet so take w/ a grain of salt idk after that, all I know is Richardson placed above Birdville and Plano last weekend, wouldn't be too surprised if they're a dark horse too, lake highlands seems to be keeping up the pace too
