I’ve always not been a fan for the judging system of UIL. Between the judges switching captions causing some bands to place higher based off of different opinions of each judge etc. There was some really iffy judging throughout every bands scoring here. And my oh my poor lake ridge.

How would the UIL judges hold lake ridge back?

In this contest do they change judges after the prelims placement?

Lake ridge scores above sachse in prelims then drops below them by 3 spots? Something doesn’t seem right…

Clovis definitely has a chance for top three in my opinion.

God this area is so difficult.

That’s true completely forgot about Southlake Carroll. Highland might be over timber creek but definitely not over lake ridge.

Early predictions for area b,I believe 6 bands make state at this comp so i will go based off that. 1.Keller (state) 2.Coppel (state) 3.Keller central (state) 4.Lake RIdge (state) 5.LD Bell (state) 6.Waxa (state) 7.TImber creek 8.Haltom 9.Duncanville 10.POSSIBLE lake highlands Definitely could see top 6 switching around a lot with highland park and everyone being there. Doubt highland park will beat lake ridge since they didn't at preview of champions. With keller central beating Lake RIdge i believe they will do it again this competition. Keller and Coppel are locks, this is the most competitive area in 6a I would say. LD bell could definitely swap around, there band has always been very good all around but with more bands rising up in skill i'm not sure how they will do. Always haven't liked this area due to the bands in it, and also how many bands there is in the competition. Plus judging is all over the place in terms of UIL judging. I will be very happy to see my top 6 make state, as they all deserve it.

This may sound weird but I think lake ridge could have a shot of getting first at this competition. If so this would be their first time going to boa midland and getting first. Then again I haven’t watched many shows on the list that did well last year, such as mg Johnson etc. The only competition I could see them having is duncanville from what I have watched so far. This is going to be an amazing competition!

Honestly same. The improvement lake Ridge had from last year to this year is off the charts. Going from seventh constantly at every competition to third is a major step up. And golly there trombone section.
