  1. 130 gigs or number of shows?
  2. Wow, awesome move. Clements as always had a lot of talented kids, and the whole Sugar Land area and surrounding areas is a great spot to recruit. Good job Spirit.
  3. All 3 were awesome, I like the white the best though.
  4. They don't.
  5. They aren't going to wear the uniform when they're practicing in San Antonio...
  6. Oh my god, was it ever amazing. The best part was all the songs and jams he improvised on the spot. He busted out his "halloween synthesizer" and was going nuts with it. Like, someone yelled out "CAN YOU PLEASE PLAY FIRED" but Ben heard "fire", so he instantly started shredding this piece on the synth and singing about fire. Then he had some drum and bass solos too. He found a way to work that synthesizer into most every song, at random times, it was hilarious. The concert was really entertaining. He interacts with the crowd so well. Guy: "Hey Ben! They (security) won't let me sit closer to you!!" Ben: "Dude, that sucks! How about you come and sit next to me for a song" I just did what I do at every DCI contest, regardless of what my ticket says, and went and sat in the best seats in the house, and no one ever claimed them. 4th row center, pretty good deal. My sister is going to the Houston one. Before the DFW one was announced, I was considering skipping class and driving down to Houston to see him. It's going to be a lot different concert than what I saw last night though. He probably won't be able to sing "**** ain't ****" for one thing, haha.
  7. That's pretty cool.
  8. 93 was pretty overboard for the time.
  9. The new ones came in 2004. They've tweaked it a bit now, and have some red trim on the sash that I don't really like.
  10. And about 100 dollars more expensive.
  11. Some corps do in fact say that. More to see your musicality and ability more than anything. You are by no means going to be considered for a spot though, unless you can do something with a brass instrument.
  12. Heh, I was about to say that.
  13. Another video of SFA from Area E. My dad zooms in a lot, I guess on a constant search for my brother and sister. It's good if you just want to hear the audio though. He also took video clips of some other bands at the contest, if you wanna check it out.
  14. Music GE Visual GE
  15. What's wrong with that?
  16. Yeah, I regret not practicing at this moment, but it's too late now. But it's ok, because I get to see BEN FOLDS TODAY!!!!!!!!!11111!!one!1!!!!
  17. That's not really a debatable issue you can have an opinion on. What happens, happens. And yes, what works for BOA does work for UIL. We'll see if LD Bell can pull it off both this year. 2004 UIL State Finals 1. LD Bell - BOA Arlington and St. Louis champion 2. Cedar Park - 4th at BOA San Antonio, 5th at Houston 3. Duncanville - Doesn't do BOA 4. Langham Creek - 8th at BOA Houston 5. Winston Churchill - BOA La Joya Champion, 2nd place at San Antonio, 4th at Houston 6. The Woodlands - 2nd at BOA Houston, 7th at Nationals 7. Haltom - 5th at BOA San Antonio, 3rd at Arlington 8. Ronald Reagan - BOA San Antonio Champion, 2nd at Arlington 9. Bowie - 8th at BOA San Antonio, 3rd at Houston 10. Clements - Hasn't done BOA in a while unfortunatly. Is it a coincidence that the top 10 bands in the UIL circuit are the ones that dominate the BOA regionals? No.
  18. The every other year format doesn't make much sense to me.
  19. My concentration is String Bass, but french horn is just as important to me. I've been playing both since middle school. I played piano for 9 years when I was a kid, but I only can afford time to practice it on the weekends. And now I've joined a contemporary a capella group, and am taking weekly singing lessons.
  20. Hey, it's the only cool woodwind instrument, besides bari (and bass and contrabass) sax.
  21. Yeah, that's me. I don't know who you are though. And no, I think they held off Randy until the 2nd camp last year. They have to weed out the unworthy first. Randy is basically the final test... if you live, you're in. BY FAR, the hardest hour of my entire life, I've never had a butt cramp before, and I got like 3 or 4 with Randy.
  22. What's wrong with feeding you guys luby's?
