  3. I just jumped in, sorry to miss the early bands! But I am enjoying Hitchcock’s performance. Good use of the white/black and some of the musical twists have been cool surprises as well.

  5. Wakeland, that guard visual and the sax soloist during the ballad is heart-stopping! What a nice drill design this is! Just eye candy all the way through! Bravo!
  6. Ah, Leander, you had me at “Moon River”…So beautiful! Tuba/tbone soloist was off the charts good! Just wonderful all around.

  8. Holy buckets, Cedar Park! This is by far my favorite show you have performed in many years, and you have had some great ones! Drill design is genius! Performance level is insane, as was Rouse a few minutes ago! I am in awe of the LISD band community.

  16. Please think about what you are posting….Every one of those judges has a lot of experience in consistency, expectations, and adjudication standards. They have no reason to favor any band, and they have spent many years of their lives studyingthe nuances of performance. Their task is to award the best product they can and to encourage excellence and give suggestions for improvement. Our task is to support ALL bands, encourage as we can. Criticism needs to be constructive and delivered in a manner which is open to friendly discussion. We may be disappointed with results, but there are ways to express that in a gentler way. Let’s just enjoy theperformances and appreciate each student’s journey!

  19. This block is incredible! Leander, you tug my heart every time with “Moon River” and I love the bit of whimsy added in the solos throughout. Well done!
  20. Cedar Park, this is just the coolest show! Maybe my fave that I have seen from this band in the past several years (and they have had some pretty amazing shows!) Wow!!
