I have row 10 section 312 right on the 50 bought them off a Cedar Park parent.

I think just as the 2 panel system led to some surprises in finalist I think the final results will hold some surprises now that all 14 are judged by the same panel. That will probably be what determines the use of the system next year. But honestly with 84 bands what could they do? Maybe we see semifinals next year?

Someone really dislikes BOA. I for one have no problem with either BOA or UIL. I do believe that UIL judging tends to be a little more inconsistent. I do also agree that there is a large disparity between bands mostly based on money. It is a harsh fact that not every school or district has or can raise the funds necessary to produce, equip, travel, ect for a BOA circuit. That being said we also should not punish those that can and do. I feel sometimes certain individuals in UIL feel it is their duty to make that a point.

To set the record straight....there should have been a ? At the end of my last statement. I was simply asking for clarification. I do not understand judging especially UIL. Also please remember the old saying " the king is dead long live the king" simply refering to the fact that 1 band was on top after last year and a new one was rising this year. Competition is what makes things better it fuels greatness. With out great competition things grow stale. I have been witness to some of the best performances by marching bands over the last several years. The fact that the bar is raised every year is a testament to the hard work of the students and staff at ALL the schools. Some of my negative comments in other threads were based on comments I heard in the stands at other competitions. Thise I will not elaborate on as they do not bear repeating. Everyone seems on edge and so ready to pounce. I really have no skin in the game just enjoy the marching arts.

So what you are saying is that that score for CTJ last year was a fluke and not truly earned.

The trolls are alive and everywhere. Never said I had anything to do with any program. I happened to be around a bunch of Reagan parents yesterday at region and heard that very comment almost verbatim.
