Amen.  And sometimes it just takes awhile for a show to grow on you.  And then it just blossoms into complete awesomeness.  Cedar Park is a great example of that.  And CTJ really.  Usually with CP I'm a little "bored" at first, but by the time UIL rolls around, I'm blown away by them.  And by BOA SA, I am usually completely enamored with Cedar Park's show.  With CTJ, I'm usually just totally confused the first time I see them (which is usually BOA Austin).  They always seem like a chaotic hurricane early on, yet they draw you in with their phenomenal musical and dance abilities, and you just know they are going to be incredible by the end.  I'm always scratching my head in bewilderment at first, and then I'm like "oh yeah, this is insanely brilliant" by the time we get to BOA SA.

This year I am ready to see some new faces in San Antonio finals.  I'm thinking it's going to be quite a roller coaster season!

We're facing CTJ at BOA McAllen, and I gotta say I am super excited to see them, but I am so nervous that their sound will disintegrate my face off. They're also pretty terrifying as a competitor, but nevertheless, their show is bound to be amazing!

Knowing your band director, I expect good things from your band!    Tell your band director Clark HS in Plano misses him, LOL.

Ok, I’m really going to go out on a limb here and make some bold predictions for the 2018 fall season before we hear the themes. Let’s see how accurate they turn out to be.

Here are the BOA San Antonio Results from 2015 to now. Interesting seeing bands rise and fall as the years have gone by. More Houston area bands are finding themselves in the 20s. Hopefully within the next three years, those ranks will keep improving.

    Takeaways.
Cy Fair has definitely established itself in these past three years.
Any idea what happened to Friendswood?
Pearland and Seven Lakes are two bands on the rise.
I want to see Cypress Falls attend this competition more.
I also would love to see schools like Clements compete at a regional or super regional. I feel like they haven't gone to a BOA event since Atlanta in 2015.

    BOA SA 2015:
    Friendswood: 15

Avon's Opener, Hebron's Everything, FloMo ballad, Round Rock's Piccolo Solo, Carmel's outstanding colorguard, The Woodland's music selection, Vandegrift's hardcore marching and playing. These are the most memorable things about 2017 to me.

The show that my school did was "The Shining" and Oregon Crusaders are doing the same theme for their show. The pictures they used for their release were the exact same as ours, and they are using two of the same songs we did. Definitely not salty about it (I am actually very excited to see how their season goes) but it's just funny to me.
