well some band programs require some discipline...and some don't it's kinda like a teacher with her classes... some periods don't need to be disciplined to get their work done but some do...ya know? so yeah...

no...i jus think it's just one of those things that happens to turn out like a family like situation. I mean u kinda have no choice but to get close wit the peers u spend more than half of your high school life with...so i don't think it's a cult...i jus think it's more of a naturally born family-like existance between people in band.

i think running is a great way to put people in their place without causing damage to them...and it makes them "healthier" i guess. Push-ups aren't bad either. back when i was growing up...we got whooped while we ran laps...you kids these days got it easy.

ttr - 5 hrs of unlimited everything with my band at "main event" (for those who don't know of what a main event is...it's just like jillians or dave and busters or something of that nature)

well take this into consideration if they DID pick someone that was a senior...then they would be good for only one year...but if u were chosen then you would be good for 2 years...which would be better because having a 2 year drum major guarentees experience and all that for next year...and it's a good thing. So don't be discouraged because everybody else is older than you...look at it as a good thing. we don't even have sophomores in leadership at our school.

i wish we had band initiations... and "good'uns"
