At least 85% of the situation got better just today. Our only returning director is starting his 2nd year with us also. We learned that John Gurke will be our Percussion Director and 2nd Asst, I heard he is (or was) with the Madison Scouts, but I have no truth to this. and now, by next week, we are expected to hire a 3rd Asst from the colorguard division. Its amazing how things snap in a hurry. This has been a tiring week.

Alright, Ill make it official. The new head director of South Grand Prairie HS is Mr. Bruce Melville from Katy HS. I started crying when I found out. Does anyone know about this guy?

Movie was boring, slept in my girlfriend's arms for an hour and a half.

Success as in turn out. Every seat was filled up in the board meeting with people standing in the back. As soon as the open forum was over, only 5% remained for the actual board meeting. Im just glad this is half over, im tired of the messages and phone calls... ...and interviews. God that was awesome.

I appreciate that Mr. nork I spoke to the school board tonight. It was really nerve racking. I also got interviewed by newspapers at the end and yea. A decision will come next week. The superintendant made a statement at the end of the open forum that a 3rd director will be hired. Also MarcoMac, who is leaving from Mansfield, do you know where he is heading? I have a gut feeling it is SGPHS.

Me and you Rdz have lost many battles to them. GPISD is a beast not to be reckoned with and thats why their credibility is in question throughout.

Welcome to Grand Prairie ISD. We also have 5 concert bands, and summer band starts in 2 weeks. I'm trying everything in my power to get him back, and to get 2 more directors up here. Plus the support of over 300 parents wont hurt either at Thursday's school board meeting, Ill keep you updated.

Well. Another Director Change. The HEAD BAND DIRECTOR of South Grand Prairie High School, Mr. Donald G. Jackson has been reassigned to a middle school position. Also, GPISD wont hire a 3rd director, a colorguard, nor a drumline instructor in the process, and we have OVER 270 members. We are doomed.
