  1. We had a major incident at the very first day of school. All of a sudden, everyone started passing out in 90 degree weather. 3/4 of the band was wiped out that day. Of course I didnt, but boy at 5 minutes until practice was over, I was about to faint baaaaaaaaaaaad. I never felt that exhausted in my life, I felt like dying because I was one of only a few who stayed outside the whole time. Of course 3/4 of those passing out were fakers.
  2. No research required. I just happen to know all 72 HS in DFW and a lot more throughout Texas. Plus knowledge of their bands of course. Rowlett if you didnt know made 2nd in Area C competition and went to state for their 2nd time I believe.
  3. Rowlett High School is a secondary school in Rowlett, Texas, United States. Rowlett, which covers grades 9 through 12, is a part of the Garland Independent School District. The first classes were held in 1996. Dr. Marlene Hammerle has been the principal ever since the school's founding. Students residing in the Dallas County portion of Rowlett, the Dallas County portions of Wylie and Sachse, and the Garland ISD portion of Garland are eligible to attend Rowlett High School. Rowlett High School is closest to the GISD portion of Rowlett and is thought of as the neighborhood school of that portion of Rowlett. Rowlett High School's mascot is the Eagle and the colors are maroon, white and navy. Approximately 2,700 students attend the school. Activities include choir, band, drill team, technical theatre, football, basketball and baseball as well as other activities. Athletic competition is at the UIL district AAAAA (5A) level in district 10-5A which includes other Garland ISD schools and Rockwall High School. In 2005 the varsity football team made the playoffs for the first time in school history and advanced to the area round of the playoffs with a 9-3 final record . Feeder patterns Garland ISD has a free choice system, which allows a child in the district to attend any school he or she wishes to attend. Many kids attending Back, Dorsey, Giddens-Steadham, Herfurth, Keeley, Pearson, and Rowlett Elementary Schools later go to Rowlett High School. Many pupils going to Coyle or Schrade Middle Schools later go to Rowlett High School.
