Berkner got ripped. Congrats to all, though!

Assuming Rowlett does what we know they can do, does anyone have any finals predictions based off of what we've seen today, 1-10?

I've noticed the past few years that a lot of top tier bands havepart of the band playing challenging music hold while the others playing basic parts or not playing at all. Today I noticed Berkner High School (the band that uses the video boards) marches their show while playing they're difficult parts, which to me is more challenging and creates a better effect, what's your thought on this theory?

No one is giving Berkner a fair chance in my opinion. They placed first in Area C for a reason, it wasn't some sort of fluke.

Am I really the only one in Texas that thinks berkner has a shot at top five? Come on now.

Like I've been saying, my top five is this. For state.HebronMarcusWoodlandsBerknerBell I hope I'm not the only one tired of seeing Marcus have performances with giant trees and Ferris wheels and what not. I just find it to be a distraction. They do it every year. Every year you can expect the same thing. A boring core with giant props. I'm not bashing Marcus. They're a great program, but they have the same shoulder to lean on every year, whether it be ten foot tall trees, or giant Ferris wheels.

In all fairness, you're right. But I would honestly venture to say that Berkner is the best in Area C, even though the points were so close. And like I said, yes, some band have improved, but their show is absolutely nothing like it was, a new name and everything. It should be a great state year!

Well, that's what I saying. But how many people actually would have put berkner on top of Area C? And I wouldn't be surprised to see MORE improvement from them. I dot think they will win. But if you have seen their program, you could see where I'm coming from.

Have you seen Berkner?? Their show is NOTHING like it was at Denton. I feel like people are discounting them, because they are making predictions based off of their performance at Denton. Well, for starters, Area C is very top heavy. That being said, Coppell managed to stay the same, very good in both shows. Rowlett stepped it up in finals, tying berkner for first, but losing in the tiebreaker. I was REALLY impressed. Duncanville had a spectacular show in prelims, but in my opinion, flopped in finals. All four Area C bands are strong, but of the four, the one id choose for top five contention at BOA, and State again is Berkner. For a spot in the 6-10 range, Rowlett, or even Duncanville, if they become a little more consistent witht their execution.

Its okay. But like i said, you should really see it. From a spectator standpoint, its amazing. Probably, in my opinion the best of their last three state shows.

I dont go to Berkner, but i saw their show on Saturday. With a little cleaning, that show could be 100% completely mind blowing. More than it already is. You would have to experience it in person to get the real effect of it.
