I’m also under the impression that both schools will be just fine. Good foundations and principles go a long way. Regarding Sachse, SharksAreCool said it the best; the transition from 4A to 6A could “elevate his style.” I think it’s very likely this the case. Nall’s work jumpstarting the West Plains program has proven that he is the real deal, and now he has the resources and tools of a strong 6A program. I do also think they need to start consistently putting out great shows like this year and 2021, but I’m confident that will be taken care of with a new face in the program.

  3. Pieper H.S., TX "Aetherius" Musical Selections from: John Mackey David Gillingham Jules Massanet U2 https://www.instagram.com/reel/DJmscaGR1ru/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link WOW! What a great concept. It seems like a fresh, elevated take on celestial themes. I’ve been following Pieper since they opened, and their growth has been incredible. This design looks like a major step forward from previous years, and I’m genuinely excited to see how far they'll go this year!

I wouldn’t DOUBT seven lakes sneaking up on Bridgeland, also, if Cy-Springs were to make area finals, I wouldn’t hate that. Especially considering I believe the last time was 2006?

  8. I’m gonna go ahead and say I think Sachse will be fine. Do I think it’s impossible it hurts them, not at all. But it’s only one director who is coming from a very strong program. So, as long he doesn’t take long if at all to adapt to a larger program, I don’t think they’ll fall off. More than anything imo is if they have another strong show theme bc that was the real issue in 22 and 23, at least I think.

  9. Funny how I never did this yet I’ve been wanting to for so long 😭 Hey y’all!!!!! I am (as of August of 2025) a junior at Foster High School. I play clarinet and am one of the drum majors for the Foster marching band I only marched my sophomore year mostly because we don’t march many freshmen. I really wanna learn mello for DCI and plan to major in music. I’m just here to get to know people and connect over the one thing I live laugh love: BAND! Also if y’all wanna know my fav hs band shows, I ADORE Hebron 21 and 23, TWHS 23, Reagan 19, Cy Woods 24, Pearland 23 and 24, Cy Fair 23 and 24, and Foster 22 (no bias- that’s js my fav Foster show). In terms of DCI, I bias Phantom Regiment (w their logo as my phone case) and love the Mandarins. That’s it. May God’s peace be with y’all ❤️

  10. Dang, that’s crazy. And we’re getting custom uniforms again this year and those are $110. Everyone has to pay the participation fee and uniform fee but the band can do financing to help pay for it

  11. Yeah, every year our music gets better and harder. We’re playing the finale from carnival of the animals and noisy wheels of joy, which are very woodwind heavy pieces.

  12. Our marching camp was about two weeks ago and our music preview camp is next week. I have a great feeling about this year tho. Of course, I can’t truly give an accurate account on playing ability yet (because A. We don’t know what the freshmen sound like yet and B. I won’t be playing but on a 6-8 ft ladder conducting). Here’s what I’m gonna say though: the music book is easier for the instruments but it’s definitely better than last year’s. If y’all watched our show reveal video, y’all know that we play Fur Elise (and before y’all come at me, no, it’s not corny and there’s another side to that part of the show. Hence our show being called On the Flipside). Nevertheless, I’ve never genuinely been so excited about a marching show before. We want to be great to make this show great, and I have a lot of hope and determination to make this show just as phenomenal as it seems.

  13. I’m gonna go bold on this one and say that at the state level, Hebron and Vandegrift get dethroned as the 1-2 spots this year. I could especially see this happening if they’re getting anywhere near the same amount of new members as my school is this year. We had our first spring camp with everyone and I think the freshmen are trying their best, it’s really just finishing learning how to march and learning the music.
