Ok, this is my first time doing an elaborate prediction, so dont flame me too hard lol. 1. Bridgeland (It’s safe to say that they’re a Houston powerhouse alongside Pearland and the Woodlands, and I don’t see them slowing down anytime soon. That visual program is simply amazing. If I were to give a critique, maybe they could have a slightly more challenging music book, but otherwise I have no complaints about the program and excited to see what they'll bring to the table this fall!) 2. Seven Lakes (This might be a bold statement to say, but rn I feel that they could possibly challenge Bridgeland for the first place spot. I just have a feeling that Seven Lakes is going to be even stronger than last year, especially with their show this year. They just need to have the show locked in a little bit earlier. I’m so excited to see this show!) 3. Cypress Woods (might be a teeny bit biased, but after the area champion swap and their head scratching 29th place at state, I see them as a potential threat this year. They are sooooo close to having a breakthrough season, they just need to make that one last push. Music complexity and performance is there, but I think they just need to push the envelope more on the visual side. I like their show concept this year, and if they take advantage of all the possibilities, this could be a very unique show. I really like the music they chose, and I think they can pull it off very well. I'm excited to see what they'll do with all that potential!) 4. Cy-Fair (Honestly, I thought Cy-Fair performed just as good as 2023, but their show seemed more like a WGI indoor show than a marching show, and I think that’s what held them back. If they have a show design as strong as 23, I see them coming back stronger than ever, and after reading the thread regarding info about their show this year, I see that being the case. I can see them placing around 2-4 here.) 5. Cinco (After barely missing state, this group is going to have a lot of momentum this year. If they refine their performance a little more, I think we will be seeing them at state this year!) 6. Jordan (Another group that I could see making state. They have improved so much for a young program, and they’re not stopping anytime soon. Their show design could improve a little bit, but I see exciting things ahead for them!) 7. JET (Really enjoyed their show last year and felt it was a step up from recent years. Definitely in the running for state if they keep it up!) 8. Tompkins (Overall, I thought they were relatively clean and had a strong sound, but I think show design might be what’s holding this group back. If they can improve their design and complexity, I think they could get their way back into state.) 9. Katy (Solid group. I think they’re a comfortable area finalist.) 10. Cypress Springs (Bold, but they have been steadily improving, and I really like their show concept this year. Excited to see how they’ll do this year!) 1. Bridgeland - clean, good powerhouse. The only comment is that I wish they would have a little better/ more difficult brass stuff. 2. Cyfair - Great show idea, I see the high crowd score. 3. Cy-woods - I want to see more brass difficulty like the opening statement from last year. 1-3 are really interchangeable, just depends on the shaping of the shows 4. Jordan - Going a different way with their show this year. actually playing recognizable music. They are still growing and their brass well.... 5. 7L - Show seems really cool! just wish last year they had a lot more dynamics. Honestly surprised they placed that high last year. (No hate, just my opinion) 6. Cinco - if they clean up more this year, they will be deadly! 7. JET - Clean, clean, clean last year. Just don't have the harder books like 7L or Jordan. 4-7 are also pretty interchangeable. Just depends on how the books show difficulty. 8. Tomkins - could see them slipping up to the top 7 block. 9 and 10 could go to: in no particular order Katy Cy-ranch Cy-Ranch Jersey Village Paetow Cy-park Langham

I'm sure that we're gonna have WAY more people than listed, but here's what I think an early top 12 could be for this contest with possible "ranges". 4A looks insane for this show and has all the big guys asides from panther creek because of them sticking to the Plano East contest. Not too bad! I could see Cinco jumping up the ranks with their new director and their show design.

1. Bridgeland (I could see them and cy-fair switching around they both always have really cool shows 2.Cy-Fair (again very excited for this wish cinco could see more of bridgeland and cy-fair outside of area(super regionals)) 3.Cinco (im really happy others are predicting them this high up too I'm very excited to see the show play out) 4.7L (to be realistic I could see them beating cinco Im very excited to see their show this year with all the portals for props(if only they weren't toxic during KMF)) 5.Cy-Woods(No offense to cy woods because it's a good program but of the ones in this area I end up forgetting it a lot more than I forget about any of the other finalists) 6.Jordan (I love jordan great program great people sadly if there are 5 states spots im pushing them out I think they have clean drill they just need to get some more complicated stuff(congrats on katy cup)) 7. JET (I really don't know much about their program but the color show last year looked really cool) 8. Tompkins (If they really lock in I think they can jump like they did 2 seasons ago but it seems like they might need to build up again) 9. Katy (I really hope they still end up in the finalists unlike many predictions that are going on just cause of the lovely people there and the 2022 show went crazy only for them to fall of 2023 with a traffic themed show) 10. Paetow (I don't have much thoughts but I do have bias towards the Katyisd schools but I could see this going to another school(this area is really tough))

The contest last year was a huge event with around 29 bands if I remember. There were 5 2A's, 11 3A's, 5 4A's, 7 5A's and 1 6A School. This is a list of the schools that made it and placed it finals. I could see with the improvements going on in Celina and based on schedule how this could be an event for bigger schools. Dang, memorial was really on the rise these past 3 seasons 😭 sure he’ll do great at reedy though, a much larger ensemble so hopefully he’ll be able to max out their potential!
