Does anyone here run half marathons? I'm trying for my second, but had to take a week off for the flu. I was wondering if anyone has some advice for getting back on the roads.

That’s awesome! I run some myself but nothing like a marathon. Also currently in bed with the flu. It’s a beast this year.

I have run several 1/2 and full marathons.  After a week off I would suggest ramping back up slowly to your weekly average before the illness.  I would not jump right back in because you would be susceptible to injury or at the very least, sore legs.  After a week or so, your legs will let you know if you are ready to resume your normal training schedule.

Awesome! Go for it!

I've run lots of races up to 100 miles. I think I can help. How far were you running before the flu bug hit?

My last long run was like two days before I got sick and I was at 7 mi. I'm kind of in a time crunch now. I have a month until the half, but it'll be fineee.

Is there a Couch to 15K app? ;)
