MadisonBandMan1
What do you think the top ten bands in the city of San Antonio? I'm just curious about this.

At Yamaha cup last year Judson edged us out by a tenth of a point and tookvthe win (we were pissed, and some Judson kids said they were shocked), and then we beat them at SA by like more than a point from what I can remember. I wonder why you put Stevens there, and where is southwest?

I put Stevens there because they were only a few spots out of BOA Austin finals which is generally the most stacked Texas regional outside of San Antonio, as well as the fact that they made TMC and area finals. I left out Southwest because I am not familiar with their competitive history.
whitewing09
I'm still a little confused.. I understand that new Braunfels isn't in San Antonio city limits, but isn't it considered part of the SA metropolitan area?

MadisonBandMan1
I believe it's considered a part of the Austin area, otherwise it is stand-alone.

MadisonBandMan1
Yes, New Braunfels is considered part of the SA metropolitan area. Not from what I have heard, and I live in San Antonio.
zururoua
New Braunfels, Seguin, and San Marcos could technically be considered part of SA. I live in San Antonio as well (near CTJ and Ronald Reagan), I wouldn't say they necessarily are, but I predict that in the next 15-20 years San Antonio and Austin will be conjoined by these cities in the same vein of the DFW metroplex. The cities between are some of the fastest growing in the country.
Aardvark in NB
To those asking about whether NB is related to SA- It really just depends on who you ask when. There is some empty space between us going down I-35, and we don't really consider ourselves part of the SA met, but when non-Texas residents ask me where I live, I always just say San Antonio. scoobydoo
Not from what I have heard, and I live in San Antonio. New Braunfels  is a city in Comal and Guadalupe counties in the U.S. state of Texas. It is the seat of Comal County[5] and is a principal city of the San Antonio–New Braunfels metropolitan statistical area.
scoobydoo
There is so much growth from just north of Austin down to SA. Everything is starting to blend together.
Aardvark in NB
Yep, in 20 or 30 years, SA and Austin will join together, and NB will be caught in between like Arlington in the DFW area

Exactly. Maybe it will be a part of SA in the next 10 years, but for now it's not. I have always heard it as either stand-alone or a part of Austin just like San Marcos is. MadisonBandMan1
OK. Thank you for the clarification. Can we please move back into the topic and stop arguing?
Aardvark in NB
Sorry, didn't realize it got this heated. By all means, let us continue: 1. Reagan 2. CTJ 3. Churchill 4. Madison 5. Judson MadisonBandMan1
