I think Tarpon might take it tonight considering I think they had a much BETTER run than in prelims, but I haven't counted Bowie out quite yet. Can't wait for results! Every step they take and every note they play is a testament to Mr Dinkins, and his motto " To all those who enter...you are subject to the relentless, refining process of music through uncompromising standards." As a former Bowie Band parent (Class of 2009), I can't begin to tell you how proud even us old band parents are of these kids and the program. Can't wait for San Antonio BOA. To Bowie Freshman Mom's credit, 4th through 12th place were spread over five full points. And there was almost a full 6 point gap between 4th place and 2nd place. We are not going to see that kind of spread in San Antonio. BOA Atlanta was dominated by two bands, third place was a gimmie, while the rest of the bands battled for fourth place.
