It was Piano Concerto(for strings), Sketches on a Tudor Psalm, and Ostinato which is the best of all three movements in Phantom's 2003 show. We did those diamond cutters (ala Cavaliers) while playing and difficult eighth note passage as loud as we could. Whoever put that together, is crazy. The closer alternates between 5/4 (where we float two beats to get four counts per bar) and 6/4 (which is straight) at a decent clip. I really want to say one thing about Spring 2002..... Â As a spectator, wow. After the Prelims performance at the BOA San Antonio Regional, you guys picked your heads up and ended the season on a high note. Placing 18th in Semifinals at a very very tough Grand Nationals is nothing to frown about. Especially, after the San Antonio performance. But now since the show is done, it is uber-hard! I'm stuck in a bad show!"])... last year's show was pretty hard i guess, atleast in comparison to the one before it but...wow. we have a lot of work to do to get used to this show and get on the level it was written for. Cityscapes its based on the show Bizzaro and it is really tough we have 7/8 time and 5 movements almost everyone in the band is having trouble with it but so far it sounds good. Im voting this year. not to mention.... 106? drill sets the only others Ive heard close to this is Ronal Reagan - with 116 and a movement to go holy frijoles!!! First movement 158 bpm, 2nd 164 bpm, 3rd, 184 bpm for one chart, then it goes into cut time 92 bpm, 4th movement, 150 bpm. Not to mention some haulass charts. We do have some holds, but the tempo is so fast, it doesn't seem that long. We don't even have enough time for any cool visuals. But its pretty good.
