Topics per page

Since the forum is in an upgrading mood, I would like to suggest another change.

 

I know in other forums, once the total topics reach 15 (or any given number set by the admin) a new page is created. I am not sure what the limit is set on this board, but I see a topic that has 43 posts, but only 2 pages.

 

Perhaps only my laptop slows down trying to load lengthy topics with the excessive signatures used by some, but maybe lower the number to 10-15?

 

Just a thought.

Yes, that's a good idea and I'll check out how to do it later tonight.

 

... and as far as excessive signatures, well yeah. The new forum allows us to limit the length to 2.5kb. I also have a script that runs once a day and it resizes any image with a height over 150px down to 150, so that should be a good start.

Topics and Posts per page is a specified forum default, but the user can edit it.

 

Click on My Controls, select Board Settings on the left. From there, you have a pull down option (Default is use forum default) where you can specify a number between 5 and 40.
