if this is correct then the old area E powerhouses will almost be reunited (Foster and Friendswood. Fulshear is very, very comfortably in 6A with 3.2k students...)

my predictions for finalists next year that gets possibly more inaccurate (ignoring schools that may go 6A but putting schools that are most likely coming to 5A because i have no real clue)

College Station

New Caney / George Ranch

Brenham

La Porte

Porter

Barbers Hill

Kempner

Freeman/Galena Park/Randle/PNG

no 6A E thread yet, but just to mention that if the 6A cutoff truly ends at 2200:

- West Brook

- Angleton

- Barbers Hill

- Baytown Sterling

- La Porte

- Pasadena

will be the schools moving up into 6A and into E (minus WB who will be going to F)

so it’ll only be barbers hill moving up… WB and Pasadena having missed by 5 and LP and Angleton by basically 10, Sterling by 13

Here is your 26-28 outlook for 5A Area E under the current alignment. With how many bands got added to this area, whether they dropped from 6A or it's a new school, there is likely some changes to happen, albeit pretty minor. I could see A&M Cons., CS, and Rudder reuniting with the rest of Region 8 back in Area D.

44 is wild. I think you are missing Spring Branch Northbrook from region 27 they have an enrollment of 2139

With barbers hill moving up to 6A and a very slight possibility of both CS schools moving back to Area D, there is a possibility of Kempner and Porter returning to State as well as a band like PNG returning after 20+ years

Is there a chance this area might be split up?

Area E: region 33, 10, 9, 19 - (total 22 schools)

New 5A Area I: Region 13, 23, 27, 17 - (total 19)

Region 8 South would likely move back to Area D

Would this mean the new areas would have 4-5 state qualifiers for each? Also, I think Region 8 would move back too. would save them about 5 miles traveling to Pflugerville than Channelview 😅

back again for the new year ! making early predictions (because i wouldn't be a txbands user if i didn't)

these are truly just this past year's results pushed up (with a pinch of my own opinion) with the removal of both CS schools in the event they remove them to move them to Area D, and Barbers Hill since they are now in 6A:

1. Friendswood (no surprise here)

2. Brenham

3. La Porte

4. Kempner

5. Porter

6. Port Neches Groves

7. Randle

8. Galena Park

9. Lamar Consolidated

10. Angleton

11. Baytown Sterling

12. West Fork

If Region 8 South moves back to Area D, give me:

1. Friendswood
2. Brenham
3. La Porte
4. Dulles
5. Porter
6. Port Neches-Groves
7. New Caney
8. Randle
9. Angleton
10. Kempner
11. Galena Park
12. West Fork

I'd watch out for Dulles and New Caney - very good bands that were overshadowed in their stacked 6A areas.

i'm sure they'll find this area very relieving after being in areas with Pearland and The Woodlands LOL i feel there aren't too many bands in this area to worry about for those two (other than for NC since the other 2 NCISD schools also have very strong programs like theirs)

Coming as someone who’s new to 5a (Dulles)these my predictions based on past years shows I have seen:

1. Friendswood
2. Brenham
3. La Porte

4. Kempner
5. Dulles
6. Porter or freeman
7. Port Neches-Groves
8. New Caney
9. Randle
10. Angleton
11. Galena Park
12. West Fork

I'd would  watch out  for Dulles because we have been steadily getting better even after past 2 mediocre seasons before. I won’t jinx it but if we make state , it would be pretty cool.🙃

welcome to 5A! :D your predictions look solid, I haven't seen anything from Dulles but if you guys are anything like Kempner y'all have a very good chance of succeeding in this area! I find it very likely that y'all and New Caney make finals :)

Splendora - "Splendorous"

Baytown Lee  - "Fantastic Voyage"

Kingwood Park - "Oh! The Places You'll Go!"

Spring Woods - "A Day in the Factory"
