Gpk1968 Posted August 22, 2025 Posted August 22, 2025 Years ago, someone posted an Excel spreadsheet on The Yellow Board breaking down the consistency of marching band judges across Texas. It went back a solid 10+ years. The data analysis was insightful. I tried searching TYB, but it looks like they don’t maintain a post archive. Does anyone remember this and/or know where I might find the data? I would love the have a look and see if it’s been updated. There’s a few judges I’d like to take a glance at based on some of the scoring from last year 👁️ 👁️ Chippy 1 Quote

However, I'm almost certain that most of the band directors all know well ahead of time who is judging all the Non UIL Events and UIL Events and if they have judged before they probably have something that tells them how they judge and what they are looking for. I know there are some judges out there that have been doing it for a long time so I'm sure there is a playbook out there probably on them. Quote

It was once really active. Not sure how much anymore. Yes, I’m sure most directors have their judges they love and judges they hate to see. This spread sheet was really interesting because it identified judges who were consistently off the mark. I wish I would’ve saved it. Quote
