Perhaps they are waiting until last minute on purpose? Either way, they don’t look too hot on the surface…

Not looking good for them…..I mean Godley didn’t have their full show headed into Region in 2021 with “Top Secret” and made Finals that year. Granted, that was Area D and not Area B, tougher competition, but it can definitely be done as long as you play it off and it’s within UIL Rules.

I think they could get a 1 at region if they have a good run, but the real question is if they can make Area Finals with the last minute show add on that they have right now.

These are based off previous years and the few shows that I’ve seen this year. Feel free to elaborate!

IDK, I’ve been scratching my head about bands not having the whole show on the field and still winning. It doesn’t seem right. 
 

I saw a video of China Spring. I don’t think they are beating Panther Creek. It is very messy. Not a fan of playing 8 min of variations on New world symphony.

A new face in Area B 4A... It appears Justin F. Kimball did UIL early and received straight 1s!

Gotta say this again: don't discredit anyone for not having their full show on the field. Last year, both Gatesville and Burnet were missing their final parts at Region, and they both ended up performing in the dome, earning 8th and 15th, respectively, at the State level. One was in Area B, one was in Area D.

That's insane! Kimball tends to get 3s and 4s at Region, so straight 1s is amazing. Go Kimball!

That's 3 bands that have completed Region:

Kimball: 1-1-1 (Advances to Area)
Ferris: 1-2-2
Life School of Waxahachie: 2-2-2

Eagle Mountain goes today, and then all but 3 of the remaining varsity bands go this Saturday. Good luck to everyone these next couple of days!

UIL Officials are monitoring the forecast for tomorrow afternoon for Region 30 Zone 3, some performing bands may get delayed due to forecasted storms.

Yeah there’s just been a lightning delay so performance times might be moved back.

China spring will advance per their Facebook page.

Here's a spreadsheet I made with all 4A Area B bands so the results will all be in one spot and we can easily see how many bands have gotten 1s. Please update it as you get results, and if anyone has access to a desktop and can sort it to be listed by region it would be greatly appreciated.

Castleberry’s performance was much improved from SOS Showcase, and they performed the full show.

Robinson got straight ones (posted on their band boosters Facebook), which brings the total to 30 bands advancing to area, 12 to area finals, and 6 to state.

Great to see 30 bands advancing! This means we will have at least one new face at State compared to last year! Two bands have competed; however, their scores are not out yet, and another three still have yet to compete. If everything goes perfectly, we will see 35 bands at Area, meaning 7 advance to State! I don't personally think that'll happen (I'm thinking 32 or 33 at Area), but it's still possible.

The bands that have competed but whose scores have not been released yet are:
Hillsboro
Lorena

The following bands have Region in the coming days:
David W. Carter (Wednesday morning)
Townview Center (Wednesday morning)
Ranchview (11:45 am Tuesday)

Good luck to those last three bands!

So glad to see that there will be more opportunities for people to make finals and even state now that 30+ bands have advanced! Even so, this is going to be a very competitive area contest and I’m here for it. Great job to all the bands that performed today!
