hey guys so i was at the ram wildcat stadium where i watched the mighty ram band perform and OH BOY! they look like they got stuff together

Richardson ISD has always been in Region 20 with Waxahachie. R20 was also always in Area C before they moved to Area B for a few realignment cycles.

The current Area C is the classic Area C pre-2016 (minus Coppell and CFBISD).

So now with this potential rain on Friday and Saturday. Does it throw off any programs? You could potentially not have a run Friday Saturday or Sunday. Then have the biggest performance of the season on Monday lol. I wish the rain out date would be at least a couple of days out.

I doubt they move it to Monday again, because of what happened last year. Worst case scenario is that prelims results determine who will go to state.

Problem with couple days out is it leaves zero prep time for state I suppose or for families to make plans. We aren’t all from Carrolton with our hotels booked four years out.

If we can even get prelims on the field. Weather calls for rain all day on Saturday. 
uil website says rain out date is Monday the 27th. Which would flat out suck for people that would have no issues showing up for their bands on a Saturday as a opposed to a Monday. Not to mention that impacts parent volunteers as well. Lets just hope the rain goes away.

I agree both RISD schools could've added more choreo earlier in the season, but I don't think Sachse does much of a better job of moving while playing either. A lot fo their more technical music is played while standing still, and when they do march and play I think their sound slightly diminishes

Richardson’s game this week got moved to Thursday, guessing they’ll do a rehearsal Friday evening in replacement no clue though, my guess is the other RISD schools had theirs moved too

Still have ptsd from the ramps that lead into the stadium back when I was there in 2023, I remember we got stuck down on the end zone for finals retreat, and barely got up to the stands for prelims retreat that year because of how far the walk up is with props

I’m seeing this movement for a lot of schools. Kaufman, Highland park, Duncanville to name a few

Come on Jerry get it together!! How are we ever supposed to draw Nationals if we can’t iron out the logistics. (In my fantasy world I’d love for nationals to be in Dallas so that the Indiana schools actually have to travel for said competition. And they can see how far superior these Texas schools are compared to them)

Someone posted in Area J that UIL was streaming Area J, we need a C stream.  We all know then top 4 of C would finish probably 4 of the top 5 spots at J 🤷‍♂️ 😂
