This is probably a really good accurate prediction for this week atleast that i agree with, but videos I haven’t seen from bands preformances are Clear Lake, Elkins, Fulshear, and George Ranch. Does anyone know where some are posted to get a view of these bands?

(idk abt Elkins at 6th unless they’re really goated this year, but If not I would move all bands from 6th and below up one and 12th would either be deer park or shadow creek.) also I would move up Clements and lower clear lake definitely also with pm.

Any prediction is somebody’s opinion and that’s fine,

so even if you think Elkins can get 6th (our goats) or wtv band That opinion should just be something you agree with or not and it’s okay to disagree that’s what our forum is all about

On a serious note, BOA rankings should be taken with a grain of salt when determining Area placements. 60% of BOA judging is based on GE, which isn’t even a factor at all in Area placements. Although Elkins did exceptionally well at BOA (and congrats to them), I don’t think they will do as well compared to other bands at area. Like, come on we can’t seriously be putting Elkins over bands such as Clear Brook and Pasadena Memorial. No shade thrown toward Elkins; I hope they do great this year and make finals and end out their season on a great run, but realistically speaking, they’ll be at best 8th to 10th at Area.

If Elkins makes finals at all it will be a phenomenal year for them. But absolutely true everything you said

True But I’m just saying that Elkins would have made BOA finals if it wasn’t for their GE, which they got their lowest in

Yea I will agree normally that is the case, but I honestly have no idea what to expect after the recaps. Cause someone correct me if I am wrong but it is 3 music and 2 visual for judges? And in that case their music score was by far their best stat from BOA with visual and GE a lot lower. So it kinda makes me question if the area format of not doing GE may actually help them more than hurt them.

here are my current rankings for Area E so far !

1. Pearland - Exceptionally well preformed show this year

2. Dickinson -  I love everything about them this year and it's looking pretty clean at this point of time

3. Clear Brook - challenging music being preformed at a high level

4. Dawson  - most of their points came from GE at BOA and their show still has dirt, could potentially be lower

5. Foster/SC - both great bands i can see SC pulling off 5th depending on how well they clean before area

6. Shadow Creek/ Foster

7. Fulshear - interesting show but doesn't seem like drill is as challenging compared to other schools like SC

8. SFA - I haven't really seen SFA this year so they could potentially be higher up

9. Clements - very clean and getting good results from other competitions

10. Clear Lake - I don't know how to feel about them

(11.) George Ranch - I really like their show and they have improved so much from last year

(12.) Pasadena Memorial - i honestly don't see the PM hype, their sound is tearing and they just face and run to their sets

Super excited to see a few bands at UIL this weekend! There's about 11 bands from our area performing, starting with Elkins around 11, and ending with Dulles around 2:45. Good luck to everyone!

I think that foster might be fighting for one of those state spots this year their show is just very clean early on in the season. Maybe even beating out clear brook looking back at those BOA placements. Very interested about this year's results.
