mbui
QUOTE (whitewing09 @ Oct 8 2006, 12:25 AM) those scores are alittle low arent they... No. Like with most major circuits, scores get higher as the season progresses. No band should be receiving high scores during the first week of October no matter what kind of competition it is, local or circuit.
gavinrh
i know it was a week later last year, but the third place band got like an 86 last year. one week doesnt really make a six point difference does it?
bumbythebeach
idk. it probably doesnt. then again, i saw some pretty dirty bands in finals. and some cleaner ones that didnt make it.
itsstephenyo
idk. it probably doesnt.then again, i saw some pretty dirty bands in finals. and some cleaner ones that didnt make it. I think that's the second post I've read where you've tried to dish on some finals bands. The bands that made it, made it for a reason. On another note, finals was awesome. I loved LD Bell's show a lot, though it was a little creepy. Marcus was amazing and one of my favorites of the night. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing them in San Antonio. Woot! athenakara
yea, The Woodlands had a pretty interesting show, fusing Concerto for Orchestra and Imogen Heap's Hide and seek. Hide and Seek is one of my favorite songs.
Xdesolatedude04X
every band yesterday definitely put on a great show. LD Bell might i say that your show left me speechless (in a good way). I have never seen a show so scary in my life, and thats one really strong emotion to incorporate. Marcus, theres no doubt in my mind that you guys pull alot out of your show musically and visually, and its no surprise how you guys got outstanding musical performance. Thanks to everyone thats giving Hebron props, as I am in that band, but I liked a huge majority of bands who had performed there. All in all, im just trying to say, GOOD JOB EVERYONE! 04-05 Cognitive Dissonance 05-06 Fused 06-07 Music in Every Direction Hebron
Duckie007
Everone did really awesome at Arlington. I can't wait until San Antonio tho that should be awesome. There's gunna be so many more amazing bands there.
Band Of Champions
It was a pretty amazing competition. I didn't get a chance to come back for finals which I would have loved, but of what I got to hear it was amazing. Congrats to all bands who competed! tubamama#6
I have to agree with what everyone has said, all the bands did great at Arlington. The band that had that HUGE tuba solo/soli on concert horns (i'm sorry i don't remember the band). AH! it was amazing. I was in the tunnel and didn't get to see the rest of the show, because the stage the tubas was on was pretty big, but the tuba part was awesome. Congrats to L.D. Bell, Marcus, and SFA. Great shows *thumbs up* BOA San Antonio is going to be intense! Same with State. Its going to be amazing!
RcAaLvPiHeIsE
That was Richland High School, ya the tuba feature is awesome
