***FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE***

Revoluton Youth in Performing Arts is currently accepting applications for the position of Drum and Bugle Corps Director for the 2007 season. All applications, both internal and external, will be considered. This process will not be rushed, as we want to make sure the right person is selected for this very challenging program. The right candidate will have a passion for music education, a good business sense, the ability to work with all age groups, and the time commit to the activity.

All applicants for this position or any other educational staff positions for the 2007 season will need to submit a resume and letter of intent to staff2007@revolutionypa.org.

During the review process, a member of the Board of Directors will be selected as the main contact for all Drum Corps issues and will be responsible, with BoD assistance, at completing the 2006 season's loose ends and to begin the steps for the upcoming 2007 Auditions in November.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Kuzma steps down as Corps Director

The Corps Director of Revolution, GM Kuzma, has stepped down, effective August 30, 2006.

In two years, Kuzma has led Revolution Drum & Bugle Corps through a remarkable transition back to the competitive arena. After Revolution went inactive in 2004, Kuzma was hired to assemble a team that would bring the drum corps back for a full national tour with a trip to Drum Corps International World Championships. Revolution successfully returned with the passing of a DCI Evaluation, and ranking 4th place out of 21 drum corps in Division III.

In 2006, Revolution returned to a position among drum corps' elite by placing 2nd in Division III at the DCI World Championships in Madison, Wisconsin.

GM states, "The members did a great job performing two very demanding shows. The excellent musical arrangements, visual design coupled with a very innovative instructional team produced two great drum corps in Revolution

And this is why Revolution will probably never make it to Div. I status. Stability in the organization is a problem for the corps. I hope they get can continue to kick **** next year.
