The Godfather, Part Blue is amazing too! Although I like BD '96 (Gangsta Chronicles) and '89 BD. But Phantom's show strike me as a loud show (too much loud and not enough dynamics). They do have a good guard though!

Actully I would rather use the APD's and support the corps, however it doesnt work on my computer! But i did donate like 5 bucks to the regiment gas fund so if anyone wants to send me the show thats pretty much the same as buying it...

The guard and marching were the worst parts! The dynamics where there and the music was powerful. Especially the ballad, i just can't get past the mellos and trumpets putting their horns down and picking up Baritones. So emotional.

All and all still one amazing show!

This is a very good year in DCI!

So what happens if the guard won their caption by .2 over the Cavs and .7 over PR (at SA)? AND they capture the entire visual caption by .15 over the Cavs and 1.4 over PR (at SA)?

Just showing you the statistics. Because they disagree with you. :D

I believe Trumpeter07 was talking about Phantom Regiment, not the Blue Devils.

cough*is it on limewire?*cough

If you're talking about Faust, no it isn't, because they haven't even released the World Championship Finals DVD yet, let alone have the World Championship occure yet, and all the ones I've found are from those DVD's.

You're not sounding quite well, do you need some cough medicine?

If he was talking about PR, then why did he quote my statement about the Blue Devils? Plus, why would he dog his favorite corps?

Just my thoughts...

You do mention Phantom Regiment in the second part of his quote of you.

Since I havn't seen the shows I don't know which corps it is that the mellophones and trumpets put their horns down and pick up baritones, but which ever one it is, there's your answer. And I have no idea why he would dog his favorite corps, but it's better than him putting it up on a pedestal and saying they're above critisism.

It was Phantom that had the trumpets put their horns down and pick up baritones.

It was AMAZING. Also, huge props to the players who are able to do that.

On the Podcast, I predicted that The Blue Devils new ending would be an omage to the 1996 ending. Reportedly, the new ending will be unveiled in Atlanta tomorrow.

I am prepared to do something similar for Phantom Regiment.

This may happen just for Finals night but wouldn't it be cool if they Phantom channeled their ending from 1991.

"But Daniel, I've never seen that ending."

Calm down, friends. I will let you in on it!

At the end of Danse Bacchanale, the corps forms this big pod on the right side of the field. During the eight count percussion interlude, just before the big ending chord, the corps actually takes off their helmets and flings them in the air like they just graduated. They hit the chord with their helmets lying motionless across the field. If you watch the video, a couple of horns were actually tossed after the chord!!

It was magnificently badass and just one of many badass ways Phantom Regiment can end their 50th Anniversary Show ^_^

I have that video, and yes, that was very badass.

Checked the video out on google and its pretty awsome. But I think they will do the traditional leg-kick at the end. At least thats what i think they should do.

No recordings of it on limewire yet but plenty of Mahlers 2nd symphony for anyone thats interested.

I would love for that to happen, and now that I think about it they aren't that far behind Cavies and BD. So it IS possible but I think they are going to really have to step it up in these next few weeks.
