Montoya
Hello all. I figured that I would get the answer quicker if I posted on this here forum. mbui
Mark Higginbotham also arranged for Westfield (5A) in 1996 & 1998 and Richland (then 4A) in 2003.
Xenon
Duncanville 2002 was done in house as are all Duncanville shows. I'm pretty sure Coppell (4A 1999) does their own arrangements as well and I think the head director at Mesquite Poteet (4A 1997 and 2005) does theirs. I don't know about Cedar Park, but this is definitely the place to ask.

gavinrh
One of the Spring championships were arranged by Bill Watson, I think I remember him telling us about how he wrote a show because people thought it was unfair to use drill writers/arrangers and the show he made was really bad, but they won state anyways. I have no idea how this discussion got started during rehearsal, but yeah, one of them were arranged by him.
Xenon
Well, the only years that Spring won state were 1992 and 1994. I think that Higgenbotham wrote 1994, so it was probably 1992.
gavinrh
It's actually pretty unlikely Mark Higginbotham arranged 1994 because he was a student in the band in 1993.
actualgirltrombone
Huh? I think I've seen Mark Higgenbotham, and if memory serves he was not that young...

Well, I know that Mr. Watson was the first person to use Mark H. and he did that while he was at Spring.
mbui
I would not be surprised if Mark Higginbotham wrote for Spring in 1994. Because....the first original composition that he ever wrote for a marching band was in 1995 for Westfield HS ("Into the Unknown") Higgy is only in his 30's. aggietrumpet327
Coppell (4A 1999) used David Mairs. He's done all of Coppell's arrangements for years.
mbui
QUOTE (manuel_pablo @ Sep 23 2006, 03:27 PM) hehe I think you mean 1996. Whoa! Typo. Yeah, Higginbotham did the '96 show. 1995 was the beautiful Samuel Barber show.
