  1. That's the same opinion i have... if they can pull off all the amazing stuff that they do, the Churchill guard can jusitify wearing [almost] any uniform. If you have a problem with their lack of "modesty", turn away... they're badass, so who cares what their uniforms look like. Parents who were offended are waaaaaaay too concerned with appearance rather than performance and try to find anything about which they can complain/belittle other programs.

  3. Yet another member from the Bowie Band: I sincerely apologize for the undeniable immaturity and complete lack of respect for the TXbands forums and the other wonderful marching bands in Texas and other states that has been displayed by one of our individuals. We hope that the Bowie Band name will not be disgraced as a result of this individual's actions.
  4. I can get a pretty consistent double c... i've gotten a few clear triples (i'll see if i can find a recording...) I've stopped working on getting my range higher, and started working on getting lip trills on all the notes in the range... If i were to scream out a double g in our show, i'd be in the Austin Morgue, and my director would be in the Austin Municipal Jail... Anyone trying out for DCI?? i'm considering going to a camp: any suggestions? Instrument: Bach strad 37 rounded tuning slide Mouthpiece: Monette B3, stork studio master V4S, bach 2c (24 throat NY-7 BB) Picc: benge colibri picc.
  5. I have one... i've had one since about 7th grade: it really is the trumpet bible. i've had quite a few auditions from the characteristic studies... what fun! Good luck w/ carnival... i know all of it but the last variation... too much for my patience.
  6. I had a really fun time at the contest, and was really excited to see Akins move on to State!! Cedar Park: WOW, what a clean sound!! I think that you guys had an amazing balance. W.C.: Always, an amazing guard(albeit a few dropped rifles/sabers in prelims). Beautiful trumpet solo! Very clean and energetic. Reagan: i wish i had the chance to see your show! Hopefully, i'll have the chance to see it at state/Boa super. From what i hear, it was very clean. Yay akins!! i'm so happy!!
  7. I was really surprised at our (Bowie's) score on saturday night... I really thought we had an awesome performance, but i ranked us as seventh... idk... i'm pretty new to this stuff though... I didnt get to see churchill's show this year, and was wondering why they scored lower... i thought they'd get at least 3rd... I loved the pic. tpt solo in reagan's show!!! props to the tpt soloist!!
