Ik Godley won Group II Champions and Lewisville won Group IV, don’t know about Group I.

History repeats itself with Godley, back in Finals and it fell flat. 12th in Finals, but 9th in prelims, a similar situation happened in 2021. All the band this year has never experienced an Area Finals competition, they all graduated last year with the 2021 Show. This starts a new run. 70% of them this year is underclassmen, very young group of kids going forward the next 2-3 years. Pretty excited to see where the future takes them.

Like I said, a director has told me that the directors of these bands headed to Area received an email this afternoon about keeping it on Saturday. Sadly, it looks like it’ll be another 2024 situation where bands were having to perform between rain showers.

Coming from a band in 4A Area B, it’s still going on as planned with NO CHANGES to the schedule.

Call time 7a and you’re marching in a swimming pool today, make it count!

According to a director in 4A Area B, they’re staying with Saturday with NO CHANGES.

My guess is, if they’re able to start it, but it gets delayed too long, it goes from a prelims/finals format to just a prelims format and they’ll take the top 6 from the prelims run.

It could end up being like last year.

If they push it to Monday, Godley gets the honors of Area on Monday and USBands ATT on Tuesday.

Missing a day of school would still count as the student being there because of a school activity.

Did anyone notice Godley and Benbrook swapped compared to the draw order?

The downside to Kennedale, they’ll perform first, now Godley also has a tough spot at 3rd with Alvarado right behind them. That’s gonna be a fun morning.

Who said anything about sleeping on Gatesville?

How many of y’all were in Godley, watching the bands on Saturday??? You make the 3rd including me. Region 30 makes for some great bands, Kennedale has definitely got something special this season! Any thoughts on Godley or Alvarado? I saw Alvarado earlier in the season and would say they could be a State qualifier.

Region 24 was an all 1s region

There’s only a 30% in Denton, way better than the 60%-70% we had last year for 4A Area B. It’s also better than the 80% chance in Lindale for 4A Area C currently and 70% in Pflugerville for 4A Area D, those Areas may look at moving or just might do a one run setup, however it’s a little early that.
