Marcus parents provided to be incredibly gracious. I was wearing our circus show shirt, and while parents/students from several schools stopped me to comment on the FloMo show, Marcus parents went out of their way to offer kudos. So very nice of them. What an amazing amount of talent there is in our little community! One thing that struck me as odd was that at least from my vantage point, Leander was the only school that did not participate in the wave. I'm sure they were given that directive, and it really means nothing to me either way, but I just thought "Really? Let them have some fun". Side note - the slow motion wave was hilarious

Flower Mound was second, colleyvill was third. Flomo also won best snares. That's all I know

I'm still rather stunned that Flower Mound did not advance to State, especially coming in so high in Prelims and they really gave that finals run their all. I'm also rather stunned at the level of trash talk I overheard in the parking lot from a certain state advancing band's directors. One would hope that a program director would show more couth than what I witnessed while sitting in my car. I'm just glad my students weren't with me, they had an emotional enough night as it was.
