I think the subtitle "Austin's Indoor Percussion Winterline" is a little misleading while there are two indoor percussion ensembles in Austin.

I didn't say they didn't work hard. I simply said that you have to admit that it IS physically less demanding. I should have made it more clear that I don't personally believe that the front ensemble works any less than the rest of the band NOR are any less apart of the band because they don't march.

Because you don't march. Physically, you have to admit, it's less demanding. The transportation of the instruments can get rigorous though.

Has anyone mentioned the Woodlands College Park? Aren't they a very new school? What... three or four years old? They've made some very impressive showings at the BOA events this last year. I expect to see them making some commotion in the next couple years.

Absolutely not. It's a shame to see programs where the kids feel that way. I, myself, was never in pit. Some just don't like drumline. Some excel in mallets. Sometimes it's because battery people can't play mallets as well. Absolutely not the case.

That happens at TCGC State. The Colony and Connally are in the same division.

Connally is spelled correct. Hendrickson actually got first place in finals. Connally got first in prelims.

It's also required that you attend at least one BOA Regional.

GE is only ten percent. Fifty percent is music. Thirty percent is marching. I think you're overestimating the influence of GE at this competition.

When you say "upset" do you mean undeserved or was an underdog? Just asking for clarification.

I believe it's happened at westlake before. When he was announcing finals. I believe... I'm not too sure.

You could say the same with area D. It'll definitely be competitive this year. That has been said enough though. I look forward to seeing all the bands on Tuesday.

I believe many of us are underestimating Georgetown. They did pretty well at Westlake. Yes, yes, I know it's completely different scoring, but a talented band is a talented band.

I didn't mean to sound like a snipper. and I wasn't critiquing her predictions. again, best of luck to all. It's an accomplishment enough to be at this event to begin with.

Have you seen any other 4A shows? It's pretty presumptuous to make that assertion with out seeing what the rest of the state has to offer. You're guaranteeing 3-4 spots out of only 10. You may be right, but I'm just curious how many 4A shows you've seen to make these kinds of judgments.
