When someone would be talking, or slacking, or just do anything wrong, our director would make everyone BUT that particular person do pushups. It worked pretty well. No one wants the stand in the middle of 40 people doing pushups because of their mess up. It kinda enforced working with each other and for each other.

whenever we would piss our guard director off, he would tell us to do push ups unil HE got tired... that pretty much sucked.

we had a car wash one day but it ended up raining.. so me and some other guard girls wrote on the back of the car wash posters $1 = 10 push ups. and we would do push ups on the side of the road at a stop light. We actually made quite bit of money doing that. haha but the next day, none of us could use our arms.

Is anyone else excited about seeing all the guards this year? cause i sure am!! anyone have some ideas of who to be looking out for this season?? i wanna see... churchill the woodlands reagan SFA ( im classifying it as guard) good luck guys!

churchill is sitting 6th right now in the world!! cant wait for the championships!

O ya! i know i cant go either.. I'm so mad!! But ya, since the woodlands and churchill have never competed against each other before in world class, it should be interesting!

What are yalls thought on this upcoming competition. I dont know about yall but im pretty anxious to see what will happen.

haha wow it is so flattering to read this. I graduated last year, and i will speak for all of the guard to say thank you. Alot of times they go un recognized in BOA but ya.. it really means alot. I taught them over the summer, and the group that they havein there this year, is awesome. I cant wait to see their winterguard show. I will def. be dropping by during their practices.. haha for some reason i just cant let go. but yea .. thanks again so much. the tries to not pay attentoin to ranking, cause they know its a band competion, so hearing that definatly eases them a bit. ps.. the first guy EVER in our guard.. is a f*ing bad ****.. lol we love him to death.

yea, it really helps the girls be aggressive and nail their work. Sloan really emphasizes emotion, so when its an intense section of the show, you can always tell by the girls faces. He tries to make us "intimidate" the audience. It makes it more fun They started doing "grr" faces in '01 with the winterguard when to nationals with "Simply X".

haha its MIKE sloan (not mark). I was the guard capt last year at churchill and his enthusiasm always gets us going.. hes a little enthusiastic. We all love him. ( did anyone else hear him yell "lets get crunk" before the show started?? haha wow...) congrats reagan on yet another amazing show! Good Luck at nationals!
