I will absolutely miss the RCA Dome. I was privileged enough to have taken the field there 20 times (4 Indianapolis regionals, 4 times at Grand Nationals, made finals at every event), and it...was just a great feeling every time. From warming up in the Convention Center, to walking down to the airlock, to praying together as a group and reciting Bernstein's Almighty Father.
So many memories in there that I got to see and be a part of:
-The debacle that was top 5 scoring in 2001, plus watching Bell for the first time.
-The awesomeness that was Lassiter in 2002.
-The non-placements in 2003, and performing our finals show in honor of Plymouth-Canton and Lake Park, who had both missed finals for the first time.
BOA's had some interesting places for Grand Nationals: Whitewater, Wisconsin, Jacksonville, Florida, the Dome at East Tenessee State University, the Hoosier/RCA Dome, the Pontiac Silverdome, and finally, Lucas Oil Stadium.

Speaking about Holy Name, they posted 2:00 of the show for your enjoyment.

hmm.....Does Westfield 2007 ("One" by Metallica) count?
And what about that Carmel (Indiana) show (2005 or 2006?) where they've got that electric guitar dude jamming out to "Iron Man"
Just a few others:
The Blue Devils did the Who's "Tommy" in 1990.
Westerville South did Pink Floyd's "The Wall" in 1996.

Random question, to bump this thread now that we're all looking forward to next year's marching season (and if you believe that, you can have my oceanfront property in Arizona for $.02 an acre)...
Other than "Sweeney Todd," has any of Stephen Sondheim's music been used on a marching field?
Yes.
PCEP did "Sunday in the Park with George" in 1991.

Agreed.
As far as Avon's show, Michael Boo wrote a really nice review of it on the BOA website somewhere, and it helps explain the story pretty well. All I really remember from it is that the end was supposed to represent anarchy and thats why everyone sprinted off the field.
I definitely didn't get the show the first time I watched it...
Here's Mr. Boo's review:
1st place: Grand National Champion - 97.75Avon HS
Outstanding General Effect
Outstanding Visual Performance (tie)
"Mass-IV-e in Four Movements" playfully investigated various whimsical permutations of the show's title. The band reached "Critical Mass" right from the beginning, causing tempers to flare, with the consequence being "Weapons of Mass Destruction." Military-like movements inharmoniously interpreted the sacred strains of "Ave Maria," with weapons and warlike visuals, ultimately resulting in a giant mushroom cloud. "Mass Media" addressed God's take on what's going on down here on earth, with humorous asides as, "I'll make it rain on your parade. (Retractable roof or not.)" "Mass Exodus" began as an anarchistic breakdown of the band by assorted individuals who just ran out the tunnel, soon followed by the entire band, putting the final massed stamp on the show that earned the highest score ever awarded in a Grand Nationals Finals.

Their show title was MassIVe.
There was 4 parts to the show:
I. Critical Mass
II. Weapons of Mass Destruction
III. Mass Media (where the flags/banners fit in)
IV. Mass Exodus

Spartacus by the 2008 Phantom Regiment.
Holy jeez...
-
I'm not usually a big Cavaliers fan at all, by my own admission. However, there's just something about this show. It's a cool show that's going to take multiple viewings to catch everything that's going on.

Madison doesn't impress me at all.

We might also hear some talk about Diablo 3. My friends claim that a announcement is imminent (read: within the next year.)
or today!!
