True. But they are entitled to do so under it. They choose to make a fool out of themselves then get eaten alive on here. :] -

All they did was point out what they saw. And he pointed out the one thing they were mistaken about. Obviously everything else was fact or he would have said something... -

This post is kind of annoying considering all the success you have had. Nothing seems to be good enough? 4th place in 5a state? That is not bad at all. Your 4 years have been phenomenal if you are basing it on the fact of placements. You had a couple of "bad" placements here and there but over all you were EXTREMELY successful and you should be happy about that. But instead you complain about being 4th in the STATE. I'm sorry but I just can't understand how selfish some people can be. You aren't the only person to come on here and do that either. I guess I just think that if you come from a program that always experiences success it's taints your view on things a little. I don't know maybe I am just ranting but posts like this kind of tick me off. -

I think everyone just needs to take a chill pill and just relax. Arguing about things you can't change is really pointless. Sure discussion is good but not this kind. Zach has a point and you should listen to him. So everyone just take a big breath and just sigh it out. :] -

Can't we all just get along? -
Leander marched 69% Freshman and Sophomores this year. I don't really think that should be an excuse. UMM... VR took more from Leander then from CP. ANNNND When CP opened up Leander did fine for a while. Also there Rouse just opened up and took at lot from VR and they still made it to state. ANNNND next year a new high school is going to open and it is going to be a single split from CP so we will see how that goes.. I wish our district would stop growing...

What I interpret "program" to mean is the name. What comes to mind when you hear the name "Reagan"? You think of the success they have had. When a "name" like that suddenly falls from the top it doesn't go un noticed. They were not saying that the students did not put as much hard work and dedication as any other year but in saying that no one can be good always. That's what makes every year different. Reagan kids are only used to success being attached to their name. There has to be a point where you step back and say "Yeah, we had a 'off' year" and then move on. If you performed your best then that is all that matters. Take that on to next year and make it better. No one is doubting the heart the students put into it. Every student that walks on to the field from any band has heart in what they are doing otherwise they wouldn't be there. I hope that cleared it up a little...

Instrument repair is not a good argument at all. How often do instruments really get that damaged? Not very often. Brass instruments are "delicate" also. I can't tell you how many times I have seen crushed bells on brass instruments. Accidents happen and they have the same chance of happening to a brass as they do a woodwind. As for the reeds sure some do suck. But that's why you prepare and think ahead. It's not like it's the end of the world. Someone is bound to have an extra. And not all WW have reeds. Flutes don't have to worry about that. :]

Does it really matter? Why does everyone have to bring this up when different bands make it to finals? No one knows the What if but I don't want that to take away from any success from anyone last night. You just don't know. But what you do know is that the hearts of every single one of those band members that competed this past weekend was out there. Who cares how the results came out? Who cares about bands that didn't come? I'm sorry but I just think that is the most stupid argument ever. You judge who was there not who wasn't. -
You really made that more complicated than it needed to be. Haha. I guess you have to know me to understand.

Not to be rude but your first two statements are contradictory. How can you say someone is the best and then say you only saw the first 3 bands? How is that fair to the 7 other amazing bands that night? According to the judges CP was the best last night. Congrats to them it was most deserved but saying you left right after your former band performed really says something about the kind of fan you are.
