Since when do band uniforms ever look good? Haha. You can never have one that fits just right. It is always too big or too small. In my opinion the uniforms will always look better on guys. And they aren't designed to look fashionable anyway. They are designed to get the job done. :]

We won!! Woot! All the LISD schools won this weekend! That's amazing considering we were playing 3 top teams.. Bowie, Westlake and Pflugerville. I went and saw Vista play Bowie Thursday night. Just to see the bands of course. That was interesting none the less.. Way to go Leander, CP and Vista!

I think Leander is in the 40s for this year's senior class. We have made it to the 3rd round every year. Hehe.

I really liked your point in the end of your podcast about making excuses about not placing higher or whatever. I understand what it's like to feel disappointment about a placing. But if you can walk away knowing you gave your bast performance that's all that really matters in the end. :]

I remember we played ya'll the week after westlake and ya'lls band had a really good performance and we had our worst performance of the season partly due to poor marching skills. Haha. But the thing I remember most from that game is ya'lls student section and how they made them self look like a$$es and they got in a lot of trouble and your director had to come and apologize for your student body. But the band was great! :]]

I just completed my last first days of High School and I am so stoked for my classes! Band- It's band what more needs to be said? English IV (Duel Enrollment)- This class is going to be a breeze because all you have to do is write about 8 papers a semester and we get an A and don't have to take Freshman English in College. Woo Hoo! PALS- There are 47 people in my class... I sit on the floor. Boo. Haha. We'll see how that goes. Calculus AP- Probably going to be my hardest class this year. We reviewed all of Pre-Cal from last year in about an hour. My brain hurt... ASL 3- There are only about 10 people in my class and it's going to be amazing! Student Aid- I talked to Vista Ridge band nerds the whole time it was great. Btw. Going to another campus is scary because you don't know anyone and you have no idea where you are going. That is not cool as a Senior. Haha. Music Theory AP- I am going to LOVE this class. It's like band nerd heaven! Haha. Plus my teacher gave us candy which is always a plus. :] And that's about it. I know ya'll were so excited about hearing about my life.. not. Haha.

You know I used to think that too but we have only been going to westlake since my freshman year so we have only been 3 times. At least in recent times..

Whoa! I don't like high trumpet sounds either. I think it's disgusting when they play lets see how high I can go playing way past my best sound. I'm sorry but it just doesn't impress me. It's like guys who drive huge trucks. They are overcompensating for something they are lacking in the man department. The same applies for egotistical trumpets. I'm not saying all are like that. But still. Give me some meat please.
