This is kinda odd…. Apparently Sam Houston beat lake ridge in woodwinds, Sgp brass got 13? I can’t say I’m 100 percent understanding this prelim judging….

Well darn!!! After viewing this might have to bump them to six… I think 6-8 is interchangeable between lake ridge Keller central and sgp… will be nice to see the competition between these three.

My one week before predictions!! 1.Coppel 2.Keller 3.Ld Bell 4.Timber Creek 5.Southlake Carrol 6.Keller Central 7.Lake Ridge 8.SGP 9.Trinity 10.Haltom Coppel is a obvious lock for first, one of the best bands in the whole state, Kellers brass is on an even more steady climb up, their brass tone is genuinly insane this year, Ld Bell had some pretty shocking results at BOA Waco taking third in that very hard competition, Timber Creek is still good this year had them above Ld bell before Waco, Southlake Carrol visual is still top notch, if they had a better ensemble sound they could take second here, Keller Central although having some weird results at Duncanville, i think will still place sixth here because of the changes in the judging system, Lake Ridge also had some pretty shocking results at duncanville, in prelims they took first in indivdual music, and individual marching! If there wasn't GE in Boa Lake Ridge wouldve had 8th place which is pretty nice, SGP is on their rise!! I predict them above lake ridge in the upcoming years. Trinity is pretty much at the exact same spot as they were last year, and same with haltom. Interested to see how this area plays out!!

I was very impressed with EVERY SINGLE BAND HERE!!! Byron Nelson had one of the coolest shows ive seen in a while, lotsssss of good creative writing. Kellers brass tone is so warm its like actually insane one of the best brass tones ive ever heard. Sachse was SOOOO STRONG TOO!! They were just good across the board really did have a hard book too. Lake Ridge's score from poc was a wakeup call, cause they brought the heat!! They are getting to be one of the better brass bands in their region/area. I was sooooo confused with duncanville.... I just dont really think their show this year sounds like the Duncanville I remember when I was in highschool(they had plenty of dirt). Good for lake ridge for taking third in music at this competiton, pretty good lineup to achieve that.

DANGGGGT What a loud opener!!!! Didn't expect this from them!! Seems like a fun show, literally playing four dci songs that when performed by the dci they won with. Blue devils cutouts babylon 2018, seems like fun!!
