It is my understanding that Langham Creek did not have 100% of their show finished for the BOA performance, hence the poor placement that day. However, they have been improving a great deal since then and their show has actually evolved a substantial amount as well. In relation to the UIL Area competition, I think it is important to discern the differences in the way this event is being judged as opposed to a BOA, Invitational, etc. UIL judging is in my opinion more focused on the fundamentals from each band, from marching technique to drill formation and obviously the musical maturity and cohesiveness among the players. It is also important to note that Langham Creek in past years have outperformed bands in UIL that had previously outplaced them in completions prior like the BOA's and Battle at the Berry etc.

Potential Prelim Placements for Area I ***(Dubious Speculation) *** 1st- Bridgeland 2nd- Jordan 3rd- Seven Lakes 4th- Cy-Fair 5th- Cinco Ranch 6th- Cy-Woods 7th- Tompkins 8th- James E. Taylor 9th- Katy 10th- Langham Creek Keep in mind this list is Dubious at best; specific placements can differ substantially; some schools not mentioned on this list can breach into the top 10. Area I is a very competitive area, and things can change depending on run-to-run performance from these very talented kids. Either way, it will be a joy watch them all this upcoming Saturday!
