I would like to take a moment and agree with this post. Due to recent disagreement I decided to take a backseat for a while and watch what people had to say. And I was surprised on how some people tried to hold onto pride rather than accepting that maybe the judging was very surprising compared to earlier season sucess. Just because of that it does not mean it's okay to detract from any students performance or efforts throughout the season. Even though a ton of students were crushed, they still congratulated others because they know the work and dedication it takes to be there. Lonestar is still Lonestar and results do not define a band program. They continued to stay strong and support others and that's what true character is. Congratulations to everyone including the preliminary contestants it is truly increasing the level at which you all perform at.

Walnut Grove: Building backfield. Turn around to the front hit, not overpowering, control is evident. Nice trumpet brassy eco. Strong brass moments are very present in the show. Woodwinds have their moments and sound controlled. Nice job flutes! Good brass build through the balled hit. Most of the marching is clean. Interesting saxophone technique nice eco effect! Technique is clear across the ensemble and nice mello rip! Good ending effect nice job! -

Waller: Good opening hit! Woodwind technique strong. Good passing between the brass sections. Some sets still need a bit of polishing. I liked the softer pit section, followed by a softer woodwind undertone. Nice job horn! Followed by euphonium, good flow to the both of them! Good job Waller band! -

North Mesquite: I'm a stickler for ripples. Nice job tuba. I like the flow throughout the ensemble. Woodwind feature showed is nice technique I liked the bouncing between the brass sections. Flute was good! Equal brass sounds. It has. Alor of softer undertones and that makes us appealing. Good shaping. -

Liberty: Very zen. I feel like the wind is going to continue to cause problems for props. I think they had a very alternates sit in front of them 😅. I like how the flower opens up. Preformed well musically. The vocal addition was cool. Poor alternates fighting the wind. -

Wakeland: Nice pre-shown into the opening hit I love the mello lines really adds some color! Their shows the really know how to showcase each section. Very clean! Powerful mature sounds. Nice job sax! Oh yeah, euphonium and horn. Clean technique throughout the ensemble. A visually pleasing show! Great job Wakeland! -

Grapevine The use of more pop songs is interesting. I like the integration of the bike. Cleaning still has a few spots needing to be worked on. A few phasing moments. Tuning becomes more and more crucial as the day goes on. I like the show, and good job Grapevine! -

McKinney North: Yet another jazz themed show! Oh yeah! I'm digging it, nice tap dancing. And dancing overall from the brass quintet! I love their vocalist! Wow. BRASS yeahhh! I love how fun the show is. But there is still cleaning to be done. But the energy is amazing! -

L.D Bell Nice backfield brass build. Strong low brass. Nice mello moment. I like that how for blue shades they loved to the blue tarp nice little Easter egg. As the day goes on bands will have to start being more mindful of tuning. The band moves to the color tarp depending on the title of the song. Nice horn and baritone duet. Nice trombone! A bit of phasing. Overall very nicely done! There's still work to be done. -

Lake Ridge: I live Greek mythology, but they do need a bit more cleaning. I like it when shows tie a story into their performance. But I really didn't understand here they were trying to go with it. But a solid trumpet section! Overall great job! -

Bentonville, Black Sheep: Sousaphones! Alright nice feature. String opening hit! Super powerful brass moments! Great use of the field space. Small technical issue I think? Unless it was just quiet. Alright trombones! Wow, that was great! I loved the theming! -

Keller Central: Nice preshow. Good trombone and flute. Good opening hit had a nice jazzy undertone.nice passing between low and high brass. Front ensemble had a nice flow. Brass didn't seem even in a few parts. I like the reoccurring flute melody. Backward marching a biit iffy one a few people. It's a hit vague on how the prope tie into the theming. Could use some cleaning. -

McKinney HS: Jesus!! Smacked us out of our seats with that brass sound! Super, super controlled! Visual affect is very appealing! That flugel horn solo? Oh my gosh, simply outstanding... They did not come to play
