    I mean I have not yet seen finals recaps. but as far as prelims recaps and finals placements go, a lot of them were quite different.

    well those results were not quite what I was expecting. But I think that kinda sums up Area E.

    So I heard pearland did not use their tarps for finals. Is that true? If so does anyone know why?

    My only guess would be yall got screwed over by the extremely early performance time. But I don't see how that alone would have been enough so I really do not know.

    Not the schedule, but I was told the schools were elkins, clear lake, clements, dickinson, austin, fulshear clear brook, dawson, foster, and pearland

    has anyone's opinions changed on the bottom couple of finals spots after seeing some of the performances?

    Here are my predictions. I know there are only 10 final spots, but the groups are so close together I had to do 12. I am almost tempted to say 3 and 4 could swap easily enough and as far as 7-12 goes, I would not be very surprised if that order was completely different, but I tried to respect any heads on comparisons I could at a single contest.(I did not include GE from BOA events since Area does not use it). If I had to guess though Clear Lake would be the one that would be most likely to move up. I also think there is a small chance one of the groups in 7-12 sneaks up and jumps to like 6th place or something. 1. Pearland 2. Dawson 3. Dickinson 4. Foster 5. SFA 6. Clear Brook 7. Elkins 8. Clements 9. Clear Lake 10. Pasadena Memorial 11. George Ranch 12. Fulshear

    Also has anyone happened to take a look at the forecast for Saturday? As of right now it is supposed to be raining all day, so hopefully that will change.

    Yea at this point, I am not even gonna be surprised if we have some sort of upset at some point in the rankings. So many of these schools are close together. Like the bottom half of final spots could go in so many different ways.

    Yea, though if I am remembering correctly the percussion scores were extremely close. I had gotten a glimpse at the recaps before they got deleted in one of the chats and I think it was like a 10 point difference or something. And if someone can confirm, I think actually Elkins won two of the sub captions, but PM's had enough of a gap in the third sub caption to beat the total still.

    But either way the area results should be quite interesting this year. So that should be fun to watch.

    Yea I will agree normally that is the case, but I honestly have no idea what to expect after the recaps. Cause someone correct me if I am wrong but it is 3 music and 2 visual for judges? And in that case their music score was by far their best stat from BOA with visual and GE a lot lower. So it kinda makes me question if the area format of not doing GE may actually help them more than hurt them.

    So uh did anyone else happen to look at the breakdown of prelims scores? Cause some of them are a little crazy. Also what happened with Clear Brook?

    The South Houston BOA should help give a better idea cause a lot of the bands from this area are gonna be there.

    Honestly that is what needs to happen, would make finals a lot more interesting

    On a different note. Anyone have the breakdown of the recaps and is willing to share them? Would be very much appreciated.

    True, i keep forgetting how different uil and boa are when it comes to visual stuff. And no I was not calling out a single group to be mean towards them. It's just I have only been able to get my hands on so many videos. And that happened to be one of them. So if it came off as me targeting a group I'm sorry cause that was not what I was trying to say.
