they had a post from one of their football games and they had 14 school buses for the band.

On a different note. Anyone have the breakdown of the recaps and is willing to share them? Would be very much appreciated.

True, i keep forgetting how different uil and boa are when it comes to visual stuff. And no I was not calling out a single group to be mean towards them. It's just I have only been able to get my hands on so many videos. And that happened to be one of them. So if it came off as me targeting a group I'm sorry cause that was not what I was trying to say.

It felt to me that visual was all over the place. Not gonna say who cause im not saying this to be mean to them, but there was one band placed not far out of finals that flat out had no choreo or visuals in their show. It was just marching, and even then they never made huge recognizable shapes. So it's like how did that get a higher visual score than some of these shows full of clean choreo and forms.

prelims results were a little absurd. scoring was all over the place.

The fight for that last finals spot is gonna be crazy. Unless something crazy happens that's really the only one that i can easily see being taken by someone else.

I mean at least it's not challenger stadium. So the wind shouldn't cause as big of a problem.

That's what I can't be sure on. Really depends when the rain would start and how bad it is. They don't really clarify what makes them choose between prelims only or backup date.

But then again this is Houston weather we are talking about. It is just as likely that Saturday will be hot and sunny with not a single cloud in the sky.

Gonna be interesting if the rain is bad enough where they have to go with the backup date. When's the last time that has had to be done for area?

May be wrong, but didn't yall play Elkins Friday? If so, did yall get to see their show?

Ive always been conflicted on it, but do yall think comparing BOA contests score wise holds much weight? Cause from looking at the 2 boa sheets, it seems like the trend for the schools who did both had them increasing at around a point and a half. And if you apply that it places Elkins surprisingly high compared to some of the bands. But also keep in mind both of those contests were pretty early on in the season.

yea i completely agree with this list, but its so hard to place bubble bands cause they went to such a wide variety of contests. I would almost be tempted to say Elkins for a Bubble one though. But my best score comparison for that would be comparing 2 different BOA contests, and with different judges its hard to confidently do that.

I mean south houston and goose creek didn't do to bad at Baytown. They were both in the mid 70's which was not far below clear creek.

Please just let them all get 1s this year. Otherwise that is gonna make finals just that much more competitive...

How were you able to confirm this? I've been trying to find any updated lists but I haven't been able to.

Im sure all of our predictions are gonna be off considering its Houston and because of how many close bands there are...

cause i was looking at the score sheets between the two contests, and it seemed for the most part that the bands who did both had about 2 or 3 points higher at webster. So idk if I should treat all Area E bands at Shenandoah the same cause if I did, that leads to some interesting placements. Also we just gotta hope everyone makes area, because there are way more than 10 bands that could make finals, and that 6th state spot would be amazing for those top bands.

are you basing this off scores from Shenandoah as well?
