  1. Though this could ALL change in February, with a potential rezone (which I think is likely, as the fact that every band that advanced to State from J last year made State Finals really highlights how utterly unfair this area is). In theory (and this is my prediction (and hope)), a lot of these bands could be moved back to Area C, restoring a modicum of balance to the whole northeast Dallas situation. Thanks for the Wylie East shoutout! Nice to be recognized for our improvements
  2. End of the list as always😂 lets go Wylie East
  3. Bias or not, I don’t think Wylie East post-2020 growth can be ignored here. Seamless transition from making 5A State in Area B to 6A State in Area C (until Area J of course), constant 1-uping of their BOA SA record score, culminating in the creation of Wylie ISD’s BOA record score at SA this season. Alongside East, gotta be Prosper! Constant and consistent BOA regional & GN finalist, but better and better performances year after year to propel them to 2025 State Finals. Fantastic growth from them.
  4. Thank you! We see this season as just the beginning of something much bigger, can’t wait to see how much further we can take it next season
  5. not the same, but the placements from J are such a wide spread. AREA J Flomo & Hebron: 1st (wow) Wylie East: 22nd Wylie: 26th Braswell: 36th Mckinney: 45th
  6. As Wylie East, yeah going back to C would make sense, and balance a lot of other things out. I wouldn’t mind seeing the old Mesquite Eiffel tower again for Area
  7. BOA San Antonio finals are the same day
  8. Wylie East here, first of all thank all of you for your support, this has been such a great year and we have no intention of stopping here! Yes, it was honestly hard to come to terms with J as a program, but we’ve since accepted it and have decided it doesn’t matter, not really. We know our job, we do our job, and we’re getting so, so much better. We didn’t perform yesterday for a judge, a score, a placement, or a shot at the Dome. We performed for the crowd, and it was clear they loved us for it
  9. Go Cougs💙💙💙
  10. Last year definitely wasn’t good for us, it was our worst year since 2018 competitively lol (not counting 2020), this current program, including new EVERYTHING (with very good director changes, not a concern whatsoever), is an insane improvement
  11. Following last year, WE is definitely underrated
  12. Have there been any sightings at all of the new band at Richland, or will this be their public debut?
  13. Do we know if there will be caption awards for 4A, 5A, and 6A classes respectively for prelims (like in 2023), or if it’ll just be overall caption awards for all non JV bands (like in 2024)? I would assume there will be caption awards for all 3, as there are at least 4 bands in each classification to compete for them. In this instance, Id anticipate a likely near-to-complete prelim caption sweep from Panther Creek, Emerson, and Wylie East in 4A, 5A, and 6A respectively
  14. Exact placements and scores were only made known to the directors, they’re never public
  15. Small Class: Base - Kaufman Quads - Colony Snares - Kaufman FE - Highland Park Best in class: Highland Park Medium Class: Base - Mckinney Boyd Quads - Lebanon Trail Snares - Heritage FE - Keller Central Best in Class: Keller Central Large Class: Base - Wakeland Quads - Byron Nelson Snares - Wakeland FE - Hebron Best in Class: Hebron
  16. Wylie East with the final (non-exhibition) slotđŸ”„đŸ”„đŸ”„
  17. I meant my bias is outrageous lol
  18. In my outrageously biased opinion, Wylie East is GUNNING for that (seemingly) final Finals placement
