Well just for Austin

Interesting to see Leander that high, usually a band that goes low at Austin, high at San Antonio

Westwood is doing good, I think they might just play part 1 and 2 but their part 3 is super cool, I think once part 3 is added they will score better at like tmc. It’s always hard to tell how they will do from a competitive standpoint but definitely excited for the first decent sized competition in tx.They really remind me of cedar park pre Covid but that might just be me

The shows I have seen so far are Leander, Westwood, Vandergrift, Cedar Park, and Westlake so the rest are based on not really educated guesses, if any of you guys have seen the other shows put a link or describe it or smth. Also, has anybody seen Ctj this year, it should be interesting to see them perform, also I'm really looking forward to the UIL Area D 6A contest, I will make a thread for it once the region contests finish but that is a very fluctuating contest in terms of state qualifiers, for example, cedar ridge in 22 got 3rd at state finals then couldn't even get past area the next year.

This just makes Austin a lower regional, a competition that has been so exciting since it came out. I suppose I will see about the same top 10 bands, but making finals just got way easier for everybody, Are we going to see everybody play in finals(class champions play in finals too). Its looking like most bands who didn't make finals last year with the exceptions of Bowie and Dripping Springs just went to San Marcus.

Only 15 bands to Boa Austin(Round Rock) this year? What happened, last year it was like double the size

What are your thoughts on how Westwood, Westlake, and Lake Travis will preform this year, I think all of them are bands with super high potential for this year

I don't think Westwood is going to GN next year. They had a very busy year this year and i would imagine the student missed more school then they would have liked to so they might not go anywhere crazy next year. They have said they will not be going out of state next year or until they are ready to go to GN. I believe they plan to go in 2 or 3 years. Don't quote me on anything though.

The finalists are announced in random order, the order which they go in is always top half and bottoms half( they might say it’s random but it’s not)

Super excited for San Antonio, Really looking forward to the Vandy vs Rouse Austin Rematch. Super excited to see how much all of these bands have improved since Austin.

This 4a a class is crazy

Westwood had some small mistakes here and there but a pretty good run overall, there was something off in the opener I just can’t put my finger on it. Definitely a finalist. Southlake Carrol also had a really good and solid run, they should also be a finalist.
