Just woke up, but congratulations to Avon on the win, especially with how stacked the competition was this year! Ngl, I was really pulling for Flower Mound to win tonight since it would’ve been really cool to see a band win State, BOA SA, and Grand Nats in the same year, but 2nd place is still an amazing placement and I’m so happy about their amazingly successful season. Congrats to everyone competing and what a way to close out an amazing season!

Congrats to everyone!!! - congrats to Cedar Park on their RECORD BREAKING 9TH GOLD MEDAL!! They have been on a generational run in 5A and I’m excited to see them in 6A - congrats on Rouse and Wakeland on medaling, what a way to go out in 5A - Lebanon Trail, MAN, what an amazing revenge year for them, from missing state to getting 4th at state the very next year, props to those kids for putting in the work and putting themselves back on the map - Argyle, the way they have been progressing in 5A over the past 4 years is freaking amazing. They went from missing state, to 7th at state, and now 5th at state, they have put in so much work since they got moved up and now they are a 5A powerhouse, honestly insane to me - surprised about Leander and Lone Star placements, but they still had amazing shows and should be proud of themselves Congrats to everyone on an amazing season!!

Argyle in 4th!?!? It is genuinely insane to see their rise in 5A in such a short amount of time.

Celina's been on a generational run in 4A these past 4 years, congrats on another state championship. I'm so excited to see what they can do in 5A!

There’s potential that 5A is gonna look COMPLETELY different next year based on the enrollments that I see Cedar Park (2304) Rouse (2460) Leander (2263) Wakeland (2245) Aledo (2404) there’s potential that all of the top 5 bands at 5A state last year are all 6A next year👀

Final Predictions for Tomorrow: 1. Wakeland (they look really good as they do every year, especially after an amazing performance at BOA Prosper) 2. Lone Star (if any year, this could be the year that they finally break through and win the area, but I think it will be very close) 3. Lebanon Trail (their revenge tour is going very well this season, and I think they will contend for the top half at state) 4. Argyle (I trust their late-season momentum since they usually peak at this time of year, and if their percussion score improves dramatically, I could see them potentially getting 3rd) 5. Reedy (they've shown a lot of dramatic improvement over the past few years, considering that they weren't even an area finalist 2 years ago, this band will for sure be one to watch out for) 6. Walnut Grove (for being a school/band in the 3rd year of its existence, they've been really good, especially considering the area they've been in, and I think they will for sure be a band to watch out for) 7. McKinney North (I originally had them a little lower, but they seem to always peak at this point in the season, and I think they could be one to watch out for) 8. Independence (they've had an amazing comeback this year, and I think this band could rank higher than people expect) 9. Liberty (they always get better as the season progresses, and I think they will be an area finalist again this year) 10. Emerson/Heritage (from what I've heard, Emerson has made amazing progress in the past few weeks, and I think that they could be back in area finals for the 2nd time in 3 years, but Heritage is one to watch out for, I know that their region score wasn't great, but I could definitely see them making a comeback from that, just ask Clements HS lol) Bubble: all the other Frisco Bands, Melissa, Lovejoy Good luck to everyone performing tomorrow, and I'm so excited to see how this competition plays out!!

I know it’s kind of late in the game to ask this, but does anyone know what happened to Northwest? I noticed they aren’t the schedule anymore even though they were on it originally.

From 6A Area F: THE DECISION ABOUT USING THE ALTERNATE WEATHER DATE FOR AREA F MARCHING (MONDAY 10-27) WILL BE MADE IN THE AFTERNOON OF 10/23. Looks like we'll find out later today if this area is getting postponed (seems likely since most of the Houston areas have been postponed)

1. Wakeland (between them and Lone Star for the win) 2. Lone Star (might be the best Lone Star band to date and could potentially medal at state) 3. Lebanon Trail (they are on a tear this year after what happened to end last year, and I think they could be top half at state) 4. Argyle (very close between them, Reedy, and Walnut Grove, but I feel like Argyle will end up clutching up like they did last year and make state again) 5. Reedy (amazing year for them so far, and they have gone from not even making area finals to being a legit threat to make state in the span of 1-2 years) 6. Walnut Grove (excellent year for them so far after winning POC and doing well at BOA Prosper against many bands in this area, and it's crazy to think that this school is only in its 3rd year in existence) 7. Independence (one of the best years to date for them after missing area finals for the last 2 years, and honestly could be a dark horse to make state) 8. McKinney North (they have some of the funnest shows that are always a joy to watch, and if they clutch up, could retain their state spot) 9. Liberty (had a good showing at BOA Prosper, which included beating McKinney North, and they have gotten so much better over the last few weeks) 10. Heritage (don't know what happened at region with a judge giving them a 2, I assume it was a fluke, but this band has been getting excellent over the past few years and did well at McKinney, and they could surprise some people by placing higher than people expect)

from what I can tell by looking at the forecasts, it looks like the DFW and Houston areas will be affected

So unfortunately, the weather on Saturday does not look very good with heavy chances of rain which could affect and delay some area competitions this week. There is also the chance that some the competitions get moved to their respective rain dates so I made this forum for updates on if competitions get postponed in any way. Hopefully the weather isn't bad this weekend🤞

I wouldn’t count out Hebron James HS

Just my take but I think that Lebanon Trail and Argyle will be fighting for 3rd. I’ve been looking at the scores lately from McKinney and Melissa and I will say, LT has overall been better this year than Argyle, but if Argyle’s percussion scores improve (assuming that they will), I could see them beating out LT for 3rd overall in the area since all of their other categories are really good at the moment. Reedy and WG will for sure be breathing down their necks come area day since they are really really good this year, but I think right now, I’d put Wakeland, Lone Star, LT, and Argyle (in that order) as my picks for state, but this area is wild so anything could happen…

So over the past few days, I've noticed that when I open the website suddenly, it keeps asking me if I'm a human, and this is happening on phone, computer, etc., so I was just wondering if it is something on my end that I need to fix or if it's something else to do with the website at the moment.
