Hanna getting 6th twice still baffles me I had them in my 1/2 spot and a lot of people around me thought the same.....

Energy was higher last week from all bands. I'm just gonna assume it was the elements. The color pops really well from Alexander's newly added scene. LBJ, UHS, AHS, and USHS all recieved 1's as expected. Going to be a fun contest next week.

It's United's year. Good for them. I feel like Hanna was cleaner than Alexander, but we'll see come late October. United's brass is really strong and more balanced. Should be a fun final stretch.

The first performance starts at 5 this Saturday at Bill Johnson Stadium. As far as I'm concerned this event is never livestreamed.

An interesting contest coming up which could have big implications for Area G. UISD Marching Contest this Saturday has Hanna, San Benito, and Harlingen all making the trip to Laredo. The contest usually only features Laredo schools and Alexander always wins most of the captions. United seems to be at the same level now and combine Hanna and Harlingen? Should be a fun little contest as Area is in Laredo this year too.

Just obtained this video from JBA. I know it's still early in the season, but it seems that they have regressed a little especially in the brass. The gold is literally a wild card.

Any updates on bands attending? Also who are the running favorites to take the gold this year?
